Thai Buffalo

Excellent value for money, service fine, food excellent, very friendly, good atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Well worth a visit. The comments below are very distorted and incorrect.

I order take away from here about once every couple of months. I'd order more often if they would deliver locally and had better customer service, as the food is delicious. Several times I've arrived home famished to find they haven't included the promised sauce with the starter (try eating dry fishcakes). It's been a hair-ripping-out frustration several times when I've tried to explain I don't want peppers/capsicum or I want tofu added and they have seemed to understand but ignored my request. Something often seems to go wrong between the girl on the phone and the team in the kitchen so I suggest do as I do and inspect the whole bag before you leave to make sure they have your order correct. Yes, we shouldn't have to do this, but the closest best Thai is Amaranth in Earlsfield, too far. They just need to get a better relationship between the girls out front and the blokes out the back, or someone who speaks better English to command the phones? Price is about right. Atmosphere in the joint is pretty dire - when I go to pick up our takeaway there are usually just a couple of tables of young first-dates who have run out of things to say and are looking around anxiously....

The Thai Buffalo is one of Tooting little gems. The staffs are friendly, as for the manager; he might be a tad in your face, but that’s the beauty of the restaurant. Tony (manager) allowed me to start my stag night (meal)in the place, they are very accommodating. As for value for money 10/10; service 9/10; manger, bit over the top 11/10; the guy is genuine, what you see is what you get.

Really great value - the food was high standard and the atmosphere nice. I found the Manager very helpful and nice. Although quite a small restaurant the best value Ive been to for ages.

Standard thai fayre. Good value and quick service. Great place to go for a quick bite before going on elsewhere, but not somewhere you'd go for an evening meal in itself.

Very amicable small restaurant friendly, excellent value coupled with a good ambience,would certainly recommend well worth a try.For people who have to smoke in small restaurants have some courtesy for others try a bus lane! Reference last review.

Take a mix of the below reviews and you get a good pictire. I am a local who has eaten there about 8 times over 2/3 years.

The manager at the Thai Buffalo is indeed fairly rude, and the service is either great or terrible, depending on which person is working. Its never rude, other than the above mentioned, just clueless.

The food is great value but again does vary a little, although always acceptable. Finally, if you are a smoker as I am, you may find it difficult to smoke respectably as it is a very small restaurant (although smoking is allowed).

The Manager comments are fair enough, but give them a break!Tell me one other Thai restaurant where you can have fairly good food for that price.

I have been going there for two years, with the friend who is a chef, who of course as any chef always has comments(good&bad)but has always gone back.

If the Manager doesn't mind braking half of his cutlery, I don't either, in fact he makes me laugh! Londoners take a chill pill, Thai Buffalo is good!

I find the last review highly bizarre. Rather than casting aspersions on the Manager it would appear to me that the reviewer was under the influence. I pity the mentality of someone who hides behind an anonymous email review whilst making slanderous remarks upon others.

Thankfully they have the sense to praise the food, which considering the prices, offers very good value indeed. For a local restaurant, the Thai Buffalo consistently offers excellent food at very reasonable prices. I, for one, am happy to put up with the occasionally haphazard service. It all adds to the charm.

You have to question the intelligence of someone who takes issues with the fact that a takeaway order is processed whilst they are waiting to be give n the bill. Well why not? As a paying customer they are entitled to receive the same standard of service as anyone else. Or would they rather the food gets cold whilst they are given priority over everyone else.

My advise is to ignore the opinion of this small minded and plainly foolish individual and try the place for yourself.
