Booked this restaurant last week, had email and text confirmation and when arrived at restaurant it had shut down!

Ate here last night, and was amazed. The waiter suggested to me the porcini mushroom risotto, and what can I say. I was told the mushrooms had been picked, by the chef, on the Sunday just passed - I have never tasted mushrooms as good as these!

The chef came out of the kitchen later and to my surprise was actually Sicilian. In today's Italian restaurants where you find the chef is either English or Polish, it was refreshing to see an actual Italian cooking my risotto!

The decor is nothing special, but if you understand good food and atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

My 3 friends were also very satisfied with their meals, we will definitely come back here again.

I went there with a friend last week and, in total contrast to the scathing review I just read, we had a lovely meal. Mind you - the price has gone up £1.50 since Thursday as the set 2 course meal was £15 last week but that aside, the chap who served us was great, offering to cook my steak more if needed (I am fussy about steak being cooked and not just seared on both sides as most euro places do). The fact that our waiter also brought to the table two cold tap waters with ice was nice to see too, so long may that continue. We both felt it value for money at £15 for two courses . When we arrived at 6.30pm it was empty, but by the time we left around 8.30pm it was near full. We had no complaints and will go back there again for sure.
