Steam Bar

Went to this bar with a group of work colleagues during the week.

It was quiet and without much atmosphere- random businessmen near Paddington train station. The barman wasn't very friendly. He then added service charge to the drinks bill- when I questioned him he first said he didn't know why and that was just the way it was, and then said it was optional service charge. On pointing out that 'optional' means optional he got defensive and said he couldn't change it. I then asked to speak to the manager, and he quickly refunded the money! It wasn't a question of a couple of pounds but the principal!

Drinks ok, food rather basic bar food.

Not a place to return to unless you are at the station- little atmosphere and there are plenty of nicer cosier funky bars nearby!
