Surrealistic experience to say the least. We got told 3 times to have water with our meal as we were sitting down, so we tried to stop our waitress very politely from asking us once again as we really did not want any. Next thing we had "our main waiter" teling us off as we had upset her!! Then he told us off for calling him with our hand and not by his name!!!!!! Surreal to say the least. I thought the food was lovely and good-size portions but I really believe some of the staff need a reality check! Different culture is not a excuse here, I have been to Morrocco many times and this is NOT how they treat their guests! OK restaurant in all but dinner ruinned by unprofessional staff.

fabulous restaurant, i've always been led to believe londoners are unfriendly but my girlfriend and i were chatting to the neighbouring table within minutes. Atmosphere was excellent, staff were extremely helpful - we arrived late and when they needed the table back they offered to put us on the guest list for downstairs with a free mojito each. I'd highly reccomend it, it's far better than anything in my native Manchester!

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was slightly pessimistic about Momo.
How wrong I was! Having been to Marrakech earlier in the year, Momo reminded us of our favourite Tagines & mint teas!
The food was very good and the cocktails too. The staff were very friendly & not overly pushy.
All in all I would recommend this place to anyone.

I was not looking forward to going here after reading such negative reviews, but was going to grin and bear it as it was the birthday girls choice. Ended up being really impressed!
We went as a party of 6 on a thursday night, the place was packed. The staff were polite, attentive and very knowledgable.
The food was lovely, between us all we tried most dishes and were not disappointed. The decor is fantastic. Drinks and food are quite pricey but for a treat well worth it.

I am shocked to read these negative reports! I went with a partner and we had a fantastic experience. The decor is extravagent but it creates an exotic romantic atmosphere. The menu is simple and does not overload you with choice, the food was fabulous, the lamb melted in the mouth and all dishes had a real infusion of sweet north african flavours. The service was excellent staff were polite and attentive. Also the downstairs bar is very atmospheric and has lots of nooks and corners to hide away in for a pre/after dinner drink. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Having read some of the poor reviews of Momo, I was starting to think I shouldn't have booked for 4 of us to go last night however I am glad to say that we had a great time. The waiter was efficient without being brisk and certainly didn't blink an eye when I asked for tap water rather than bottled (greener and cheaper!) The food was really good, although I think I picked a winner with the Couscous Momo: I certainly shouldn't have had a starter too as you get 3 kinds of meat, a big bowl of vegetables plus couscous. The decor is really well done and the atmosphere was such that we could actually forget it was pouring with rain outside. It really was a good experience and, although not cheap, felt like reasonable value for money. I would recommend for a good night out - on a wet Wednesday in August anyway!

Nice place and service (probably I was lucky as I went there on a rather quiet day)
Ordinary food
Outrageously expensive (for the quality of the food)

The person who said this was an amazing restaurant must have shares in it.
The food is mediocre, the decor and atmosphere very cliche-ridden, and the prices bear no relation to the quality of the experience.
I find it absolutely unacceptable for restaurants to put time limits on bookings WITHOUT informing the customer. We had booked a table there for 6 people mainly because they had not said there was any time limit, only to find that after exactly 2 hours they turned up and said "the time on this table is up, you have to leave". When I pointed out that they had not told us this when we booked, she just smiled patronizingly and said "well all our tables have a 2 hour time limit" - as if that somehow makes it better.
This restaurant does not deserve your business - avoid.
