I went to the bar downstairs at Momo on Tuesday night when Netsayi's was performing. The place is beautufully decked out , the music was amazing and the free cloak room was a nice touch. I was however disappointed with the way in which the layout creates a very comfortable spot for the people sat at the 3 tables in the front, and a particularly uncomfortable one for the rest of the people crowded in at the back by the bar. All night the poor waiters had to squeeze inbetween people to serve a " select few", most of whom didn't even seem to be interested in the performance.

Another aspect that I found quite ridiculous was the drinks menu stated that the beer was £4 per bottle, however the bar lady charged £15 for three. Upon asking why there was such a discrepency she stated that there was a 25% service charge added onto drinks purchased ! I had ordered them at the bar, not even sat at a table ! 25% ! She then told me that I could however not pay this fee if I wanted! While waiting to get the £3 back, I noticed another lady looking confused about her change being short. I therefore informed her of the bar policy. One of the bar men took offence to my informing this lady and spoke to me in a very rude manner for doing so. Very unneccessary. Maybe he earns so much working behind this bar with the 25% tax robbery that an extra £3 on his bill is petty cash. Imagine visiting your local pub and the bar man put an extra 25% on for service....anyway enough said....! !

Over-rated. Cous cous shouldn't be that expensive.

We had our work do here and it was a complete disaster! Over half of us had to send the food back as it was cold - not even warm, completely cold and the other half thought the food was tasteless.

Despite arranging to go into the member's bar, we were told there was a private party that evening and we couldn't. The whole night was a complete shambles, the staff were rude and it was not worth £6 per head, let alone £65!!!

i had a terrible time at momo's, the staff were discourteous, and the food came out cold over an hour late. I was out with important clients and felt very let down. It was embarrassing, I will not be going back. Even worse, the door policy left a lot to be desired. Many of the guests were verging on loutish, it felt like as if we had turned up to a hen night in blackpool. Such a shame that it has gone so far downhill.

A bit of a mixed bag... excellent, arguably outstanding, decor and atmosphere but very average food at way above average prices. The markup on bottles of wine was particularly high. They have what seemed what like a good bar in the basement. I'd suggest coming here for a drink and then heading off elsewhere for food,

I generally love coming to this restaurant, especially good for taking clients, nice atmospehere. However, recently we were continuously harassed by the head waiter to order food while seated on the veranda, so eventually we ordered a single plate, however he told us he wanted us to order more food!! This continuous harassment caused my clients to get up and indicate they wanted to go another place.

Not very good as we typically like visiting this place for drinks, however will never return again.

Great place, but lose the small waiter with a big ego!!!!

I felt I'd been transported to the backstreets of Paris when I got to Momo with its distinctly continental feel. Lots of people were having cocktails on the veranda at the front. The interior is great rustic chic, my friend told me that was how to describe it. And the staff are as glamorous as the customers!

The menu was a mix of North African and Mediterranean dishes. My girlfriend wanted something light so went for the harira to start, a traditional Moroccan vegetable soup, I had the pan fried scallops. Everything was fantastic. For my main I opted for lamb tagine, an explosion of spices, with the unusual addition of artichoke. My girlfriend wolfed down the chicken couscous, which she described as truly authentic and she should know, having spent many holiday in Tangiers. We finished off our meal with a homemade sorbet and a pot of mint tea.

A Moroccan experience just off Regent Street. We had a wonderful evening.

Went there last friday with a two friends for a spot of lunch.

I have to say i found the waiting staff friendly. The atmosphere was quiet as everyone else was eating outside but i like the decor, it really does feel like you are no longer in central london.

We skipped starters and went to mains. The kofte tagine came out piping hot but tasted superb (a little over the top with quails eggs as i felt they were not needed) Cous Cous was fine and the bread great. My friends lamb cutlets were cooked how she wanted them and the chicken tagine smelt great although i did not try any.

For desert a selection cakes/pastries. I opted for the almond and date icecream pancake (highly recommended).

The food is probably a little pricy for what it is but the whole experiance was very enjoyable and i would go again.

Nice venue, but we were rushed to order, waiters were very unfriendly, Music so loud you could not understand the person across the table. Food was ok but really nothing special and it was very pricey. We would never go again.
