Nice venue, but we were rushed to order, waiters were very unfriendly, Music so loud you could not understand the person across the table. Food was ok but really nothing special and it was very pricey. We would never go again.

Went here on a Friday night recently. After trying to book earlier in the day and being told they were fully booked, we decided just to pitch up and ask for a table as we were in the vicinity anyway. We managed to get a table after all. I am a big fan of North African cuisine, but found that the dishes lacked flavour, were underseasoned and very overpriced. The wine list was extensive, but again very overpriced even by West End / Soho standards. Nice setting and atmosphere but not worth the money.

Went to Momo for dinner last night & had the most fantastic evening - The food was amazing, the staff were friendly & ended up dancing the night away in the basement bar. This restaurant transports you out of one city into another! We will be back very soon...

Thought it might be a very good restaurant as it is in my fav. street for food: Heddon street. However, I have to say it is the worst restaurant in that street in terms of service, food, and price. Only thing you can probably get a sparkle may be the atmosphere...

Had a horrible time at Momo and would not recommend it to anyone. We went there as a party of 9 professionals, straight from work. The staff were so rude that we had to ask repeatedly if they would stop talking to us so abruptly as it was so unnecessary. However, we were met with "well we are rude so get on with it". Other diners asked them to behave more appropriately as they had overheard the appauling way that we were being treated but they were told to "mind [their] own business or to leave".

We asked for 10 minutes to look at the menu and were told that we have to order straight away or leave. We asked for 2 minutes and this was rudely accepted. Two friends had not sat down before having a menu thrusted into their hands and told to order before they had sat down.

They refused to accept 8 orders of a main dish because one member of our party was vegetarian and they only had one vegetarian dish which she would not like. However, they refused this and made her order the dish. She did say that if it was a problem, she'd order but she would know that she wouldn't like it. They said they would refuse 8 orders unless she ordered hers. We were then told we had the table until 9.30 only and had to leave on the dot. Their manner was so rude and aggressive that we advised we were not prepared to be spoken to like this again and would like to leave. I have never returned a dish not cooked properly let alone ask for my coat, but this was so bad that I would never recommend it to anyone as it was unprovoked and quite shocking. On the plus side though - the decor is amazing, but that's as far as it goes.

went to the downstairs bar for drinks then the restaurant for dinner. the bar hostess was very friendly and helpful and the cocktails well mixed. however the dinner experience was ruined by a curt maitre de, an extremely rude waiter, average food and cramped table settings. the diners next to us also commented on the rudeness of the service, so it would appear to be a theme of the restaurant. upon returning to the bar after dinner at approx 11pm, we were advised that non-members could only stay until 11:30pm - even though the bar was practically empty. so we left immediately and took our custom elswhere. i will not be going there again.

went to momo on 15th October with a friend not having a reservation. the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the food delicious, drinks and wine perfect , my company unbeatable. almost nothing to complain!

Really nice atmosphere with the lights on the ceiling, cushions and plants..

However, it seemed the staff was ignoring us as it took 20 minutes before we could order drinks.

The food was alright, not very special.

Recent reports here criticise service but on our visit it was perfectly fine. Our dinner was generally an enjoyable affair. A shared starter of bastilla filled with pidgeon was fine though not the best we have ever had (try Le Souk in Paris).

Mains were a very good CousCous Momo (fine but perhaps a little bland) and a good rack of lamb. Dessert of Milk Bastilla was very nice. The Lebanese sweet wine is exactly that, sweet, but stands no comparison with Tokaj.

On the whole a good experience.
