Bella Italia (Cranbourn Street)

This was a great evening and a nice restaurant. It was absolutely packed early Saturday evening and yet the waiters and manageress managed to make service personal and very pleasant. And the food was great. We had a chicken dish and an Italian burger and both were great. The ice cream was a little runny and they replaced it with some that was crunchy and delicious - little flecks of real chocolate through the icecream. The wine was free (!) - as we'd managed to get a voucher, and there was a wide range of pastas on offer as well. The doors were open to Leicester Square and you could see people coming and going. Two slight problems. We couldn't book for Saturdays as it gets so busy, but they did fit us in. And you need to be sure you're at the right place - there are about 4 Bella Italias around the area, so if you arrange to meet, just check it is the Cranbourne Street one. I'd go back like a flash.
