Bella Italia (South Kensington)

We visited the day before the London Marathon whilst on our way to the Natural History Museum a street behind. We had a long slow lunch and I have to say that the staff were fantastic. Three lovely ladies who went out of their way to be kind and funny with our 4yrs old grandson. They gave him a throw away camera when they heard it was his 5th birthday the following week. He took photos of them and we took one of him with them and are sending it to them. The food was fabulous. Five of us had different things and everything arrived in good time and they made sure that our grandson had his food served so that he wasn't waiting for us to finish our mains, he was given his sweet when he had finished his main course.

Overall we would recommend this Bella Italia! We have been to a few - Fantastic!

Overall not impressed.

Staff were rude. They tried to get us out there as quickly as possible. Food was well below par. I agree with all the comments on the chips. Terrible! the steak was overcooked

We read some of the previous reviews that were very mixed. However, I have to say that we were delighted by this pleasant little restaurant. It had a great atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for you. My wife had steak and she said that it was one of the best steaks she had ever had. We had a delightful meal prior to going to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and the best bit was that we were able to pay with our Tesco reward vouchers. I would definitely recommend this place even if we were not paying with vouchers. Thanks for a great evening.

Last Saturday we were a party of 6 looking for a restaurant after visiting nearby museums. We decided on the Bella Italia which had a cosy atmosphere with candlelit tables. The Bella Italia turned out to be an excellent choice, the food was delicious, the price fair and the staff friendly. We decided this would be a good restaurant to meet with friends in the future. My only suggestion would be that the Bella Italia invests in address cards to hand out to satisfied customers. Fortunately I was sufficiently impressed to look up their website and bookmark this delightful little restaurant!

Our family spontaneously called into Bella Italia Old Brompton Road at about 1730hrs on a Monday having visited the museums nearby. We were made quite welcome, the children (3 &5) were occupied with a little activity book and crayons. Food was served in good time as was each course and was very good (even the children finished it and that is a task in itself at home!). The waiters/waitress were friendly and the bill was quite reasonable for what we had. I was pleasantly surprised by this cosy looking restaurant but we would quite happily eat there again.
