Decor lovely, food not great, value for money at over £50 per head certainly not worth the hype. Very disappointed.

went for our xmas party in dec2010. there were seven in our party and we arrived at 9.40pm. the service was so slow and people in our section were seated after us and consistently served before us. the same waitress was serving all the tables in our section. we only had one drinks order taken during the whole time there. we had to ask if we were getting dessert as all the other tables around us had had theirs and were told 'i dont know where it is'
After finally having dessert and asking for the bill it came with optional service charge added on @ £53.00. After asking for it to be removed, i was told its not optional for parties over eight people!
Finally got it removed and paid the bill to move into the bar/club by which time it was 12.30am due to the really poor service. the bar closes at 1am.
I have already written to this restaurant by recorded post once and by email twice and so far have not even had an acknowledgement!! very poor!!
This restaurant is very expensive and given previous reputation, we were very disappointed.

The food is ok - pretty standard pan-asian fare.
The service is truly AWFUL - from start to finish.
The booking experience left a lot to be desired - like it was a bit of a drag for them to take a booking and run a restaurant.
On the night we were rushed to our table, all our food came at once, yet the waitress seems baffled by our drinks order which took about 20 minutes and several trips back to the table to confirm.
When we were finished we were rushed off the table and to the bar to finish our drinks. When a friend came to join us at the bar for a drink they were not allowed in to the bar because they didn't have a table reservation.
For good pan-asian food try Roka. Much better and you don't feel like you are putting them out when you go there and spend money.

Awful place, people think it is so great to eat by a train track?!!?
Food is ok, small portions, for huge prices!
Service is terrible, they said did we mind the food all being brought at once, I said we did, they did it anyway, bringing about 6 dishes for the 2 of us at one time, who wants cold food!?!? Sending it back seemed to really upset them despite telling them it was not ok to bring it all out at once. What a snotty, place. AVOID!!!

This place was recommended to us by a friend. I booked online weeks before and the staff even called to confirm in the morning which was encouraging. The front of house staff seemed irritable, humourless and non-cooperative which initially put us off. However, the waitresses in the main restaurant were friendly and helpful once we made conversation with them. The restaurant is dimly lit in a faint red glow, and looks grand with a high ceiling and big windows. The ornate furnishings and elaborately carved wood panelled walls give the feel of a Thai palace. It is rather breathtaking, if a little over the top. You are mainly paying for this ambience. Equally breathtaking are the prices of drinks (£7 for a virgin cocktail, although it tasted great). The food is overpriced and the main tuna dish from the set menu looked like a childs portion. After some negotiation, the chef kindly agreed to serve a green Thai chicken curry dish instead of the duck from the set menu. This was a tasty choice and very filling. The chefs dessert special was also tasty (poached pear with a ping-pong ball sized dollop of ice cream) but again looked too small for an adult stomach.

Visited this restaurant only once and I think that's plenty for me, while the restaurant is beautiful with cosy corners and a modern yet distinctive far east design everything else about it is a let down. The service is slow and it felt like we were forgotten about. The food itself is far over priced for what it is, tiny portions (quality over quantity I know, but I left still quite hungry after 3 courses) and not that amazing. Its a gimmick restaurant to be honest banking on its location, bar and interior design to pull in the punters!

A friend of mine booked the table for 6 of us last saturday, the table was booked at 21.00pm, at 21.50pm, we were taken to the table, I dont mind waiting , but this was too long.
The table we were taken to was fantastic, it had a brilliant view of the whole restaurant as it was on the raised level of the dining area, we could also see the private bar and dance floor behind us.
My friend pre ordered the fruit de mare for 2 thirds of the party 24 hrs prior as requested. when we sat down and informed the waitress we had pre ordered, she replied, oh I had no idea I didnt get a ticket!
I ordered a mushroom cheung fun, which was cold and to be honest miniscule in portion size, I love the cheung fun in yauatcha for instance and at the same price you get much more and the quality far superior, this was very disapointing.
The main sea food platter was really well presented and the food very fresh indeed, at £30 per head I believe a little expensive for what you get , but I suppose thay have to pay the rent on such a massive venue.
Reluctantly I agreed to a tequila shot with the rest of the group, the Bar staff need to realise that you need fresh limes to execute a taste explosion , not one week old dried out ones. I do believe this place is too big for its staff to cope with the high number of diners.
would I go again? at nearly a hundred pounds a head for 6 of us, I would go elswhere next time.

Quite possibly the worst experience of my life. It took three days of making phone calls to make a booking. Service terrible, food not much better. If you enjoy great looking surroundings and waiting 20 minutes for an over priced drink, then this is your place.

Very disappointing.
Vegetarian set menu had a dessert with gelatine in which of course any good chef would know is not vegetarian.
Although we were stil drinking wine at 9pm we were told that the manager wanted us to move to the lounge. I said i would not move as the website clearly states turnaround on tables is 2 hours (on a set menu). I suspect as we were on the 50% off menu we were treated badly.I won't go back again. Food was also uninspiring.
