Absolutely awful. Bad service, disgusting food (though the cocktails were nice) and overpriced (not helped by a 12.5% service charge). I wouldn't eat there again if they paid me.

Mercado is an amazing place to eat, drink and party. What a fantastic concept. this is perfect place for a night out. Especially their happy hour is a real deal. In stoke newington there are so many pubs and bars but this place has some master barman who knows how to make your cocktails. And food is really authentic. I love mexican food and i am surprised that this place gives you the total experience of mexico. Decoration inside the restaurant is simple and cheerful. And i did my bday there and they presented a wonderful cake and celebrated in a mexican way. Must recommended place.

mercado is one of the best place to have cocktails in stoke newington. We are going to mercado since last two years and everytime the service is getting better.

Their fajitas and enchilladas are the best dishes in authentic menu. On weekends they move the tables in night time and people can dance salsa.( i was the worst one)

if you really want to have good value for money you can enjoy the happy hour offer. 2 x 1. amazing margaritasssssss.....love mercado

i went last saturday and place was packed. i dont agree with the last review as this is the busiest restaurant in town. we had to wait for quality margaritas as it was happy hour. Margaritas were out of this world. Service was absolutely fantastic. The food was great and specially mole poblano. great atmosphere...greta service. definitely going back

Worst service I have ever experienced. The staff gave our drinks to somebody else by mistake, then retrieved them and bought the half empty drinks to us expecting us to accept them. 35 minutes for a drink to be bought to our table and 1 and a half hours for the meal to arrive!

had dinner friday evening....loved the atmosphere..i had chicken fajita in sizzling plate very nice .. really good portion.that was worth traveling all the way from Harrow..

I believe this place is absolutely amazing. Atmosphere is unbelievable as decoration, service and music is great. I went this place last month first time and since then i been there 7 times. Best cocktails in the town. Try their fajitas and burritos..amazing!!! Had my girl friend party there and we stayed till late and Dj played best salsa and rnb music. Definately recommended coz of great food and best cocktails. SUPERB
