i eat at Locale 3 times a week before taking the train home..I agree with the previous review, it's all you need in a restaurant: fresh food, friendly service, and standard value for money (try to go in other italian restaurants that do all the food from scratch and see how much you'll pay!!!!) and the atmosphere is lovely when not too busy.

Friday night, let's go an eat in a restaurant!!!

Group of 6 people with no reservation. The restaurant was busy and there were no tables available but the manager kindly invited us to wait at the bar so we had the chance to taste their cocktails...really nice!!!

We had a table after no longer then 20 minutes, not bad! We just ordered one main each and the food was lovely.

Even in a busy time, the service was friendly and always there when needed.

We'll come back

What surprise find this restaurant just behind the London Eye!!! After the flight we couldn't finish our night in a better way.

As soon as we entered (me and my wife) we felt welcome and the staff was really friendly with us all night long.

The menu has a good selection of traditional italian dishes. I went for the rib eye "tagliata" highly raccomanded and my wife went for a Sea Food Pasta, both really good and fresh....

The waitress said they have a steak night on monday, i've already booked a table ;-)

Thanks Locale

I just can't believe this restaurants score 10 out of 10 for all the categories. This restaurant is no more than any other italian chains; however, they seem to charge you 20% more than others. Price of starters starts from £5 to £7. Main dishes like pizzas and pastas start from £11 on average. The average cost of a person would be around £30 without wine instead of the £22 listed.

For food, it's plain dull and no surprise. You can spend your £30 in some gastropub instead.

For service, it's okay. Staff are polite but from time to time, there were too busy.

For atomsphere, the place is way too noisy. Don't go there for a romantic dinner.

I'm now giving some lower scores here to average back the true rating of this restaurant.

We went to the Fulham branch last night with friends and had a fantastic time. This place is a real gem which really should be experienced. The menu was well presented with plenty of tasty looking dishes to choose from -even for vegetarians, wheat allergy sufferers and and generally fussy eaters like myself! The service was impeccable - the staff were attentive without being instrusive, friendly and polite.. the place was busy, but they always seemed to arrive back to us at just at the right time. The place was busy, but there was a really nice crowd there ages ranging from lates 20s- to a few early 60s. Smart, casual... interesting people. The place has a lovely homely international feel to it.. nice lighting and effects and yet elegantly sparse. Excellent value for money, especially as one of our party was drinking champagne all night! Expected the bill to be a lot higher than it was. The roast potatoes are to die for! Definitely putting Locale on my favourites list!

We chanced upon this restaurant while wandering around the Cut and other attractions in the London Eye/Waterloo area. And what luck that was! Quite the best Italian cuisine my Italian wife and I have enjoyed in London since the old Soho Trattoria Terrazza was in its celebrated heyday. "I wonder how long it will be before the celebs make Locale their local as they did the Trat?" said my wife. Meanwhile, it is our secret and we shall continue to enjoy it for as long as we can. I recommend the sensational pasta. My wife had a great salmon salad. Not only delicious but so reasonably priced it was almost like stepping back into the old Trat days pricewise, too! Well done, Locale.

This summer my family (two teenage girls, one teenage son, husband and sister-in-law)have been to the London Eye and visited the various surrounding South Bank attractions several times, and with great pleasure. The one disappointment, however, has been the sameness of the local restaurant choice. Once you have been to one fast-food franchise you have been to them all. But yesterday we discovered the new - at least to us - Loco restaurant and bar by the old County Hall. This is a great find and completed our enjoyment of the day. The food, Italian, was as good as anything I have tasted in the more touted London eateries - and the prices were as reasonable as the food was delicious. Three of us had the classic spaghetti and meatballs at £9.50. But we were all happy with our choices. It is rare that our family totally agrees about anything but this restaurant had us speaking with one voice: delicious. We shall be going again, and soon!
