I had a group booking for my hen night at Mimosa and the service I recieved was fantastic and highly professional. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. It was delightful to see such a great team spirit amongst the staff. They truly made the evening a special one. Food was fantastic and great value for money.

Well where to begin? Went to mimosa last night with my wife and 2 friends which have visited the restaurant several times and swear by it! so we decided to join them on there recommendation! We arrived at about 10pm (so not peak time). After been seated we had to call someone over to take our drinks order after been there 10minutes. After a great effort shouting over the blaring music we finally got our drinks order in. We asked the waiter if he could turn the "loud" music down slightly so we could hear each other talk, to which he responded that it was the owner that wanted the music so "LOUD" and carried on to say " What can I do, I only work here?"! Well at this point we should have stood up and left the so called restaurant as it just went from bad to worse from there!
We managed to point out our order from the menu to our waiter as he couldn't hear a word we were saying. The food turned up, well at least 3 of the 4 meals did anyway! After 10min when my wife's "Seafood platter" didn't turn up she went over to enquire what the delay was. It so happens that they forgot to make it! (no surprise) We decided that she wasn't going to wait another 10min for her meal to turn up as the rest of us would have finished by then. The waiter apologised and offered my wife a cocktail on the house as a poor apology and said her meal would be done very quickly! As for the Food it was nothing more than an Average meal with Seriously pathetic Service!
At the end of the our meal our "bill" turned up on our table without them asking if we would like dessert or coffees! To our surprise they had added items to the bill which we didn't even order and wanted to charge us a 12.5% "Service Charge"! I think the key word there is "service" guys! THERE WAS NO SERVICE! They removed the items on the bill which we didn't order and we refused to pay the 12.5%! I'm Sorry but I dont mind paying a service charge where one is warranted! All the waiter kept saying was either "What can I do" and "you need to understand" Well i think we do understand now, Mimosa Bar & Grill need to sort themselves out otherwise there doors will be closed in a few months!
What more can I say these guys are a Joke and shouldn't be running anything more than a "Kebab Shop".

I used to swear by this place. It used to have a great atmosphere and really friendly, attentive staff. Then I went in there about a week ago and I don't know what has happened but it was utterly awful.
The staff has totally changed, so whether it's under new ownership or what I don't know, but they clearly aren't waiters by trade, they had no idea of how to keep customers happy.
As an example - we ordered a jug of Pimms and we had to ask three times and wait 20 mins before it came, and when it did, it was warm. Not just a bit warm, very warm. We pointed this out, and they brought us a small glass of ice which, needless to say, melted as soon as we put it in the jug.
The food is still good with a lot of choice, and it's good value, but they need to sharpen the service back up to the old level or they are going to run into bother.

An exquisite meal, friendly, attentive but unintrusive service. We went for the three courses each of us menu and suggested wine as well. Special mention must made of the rosemary foccacia - simple but bursting with flavours, the duck marinated in teriyaki served on a bed of watermelon was fantastic. The wines went so well with the dishes we ordered, it was a fantastic gastronomical experience. The atmosphere was buzzing, a little too dimly lit but the food did all the talking. Will definitely go there again.

Went there on sunday with a friend and had the crocodile dish . Very friendly waitress at the door and the food was beautifully prepared and very well presented . Im not too sure how much crocodile meat costs to import into this country so im not sure if the price we paid was a bit high . Overall id definitely recommend this place particulalry if you have been shopping on oxford st and want to stop for some decent food afterwards

One of the best grill food available in London. This tiny little restaurant in Christophers place is a gem. Never know that good food was available in this area apart from Carluccios. Service was a bit slow but it was truly worth waiting for the food. A def one to check it out

Went here last night and was very dissapointed. The food took ages to come and when it finally came at 10pm after getting there for 8pm it was over cooked and full of bones.
We complained and got two free drinks and the service taken off the bill, but i will never be going back.
The reason they gave for the poor service was they had a large booking in, this was a party of 8 people!!!! How can this effect the service sooo much!!!

What can i say about this place without sounding like i work there, it's just really good! i went with a lovely lady chum of mine last night and we had a great time. The food is wonderful, the service is fantastic, they couldn't be more helpful / friendly and to top it all off it's great value for money. We will both be returning again without a doubt.
Refreshing to find somewhere in James Street that doesn't feel like they are doing you a favour by letting you dine there.
Big thumbs up!
