The Bishop

We had booked a table for a late lunch (which appears to be pretty much a must given how busy and buzzy the atmosphere is). What I was surprised was that the service was quite slow (although friendly).

There was a good selection of food for vegetarians and for kids but the food was decidedly average.

Food was lovely and the value for money excellent. I have never sent compliments to the chef before this meal, but the chicken pie and my husbands simple but well cooked fish and chips were both perfection. We were just passing and decided to pop in for lunch, and so glad we did. Sunday lunch is reputed to be amazing. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food and a lovely pub. Very reasonable on the wallet and Clarence the Pub dog is a delight and a real character. Thoroughly recommended.
