Best beer in Balham and a great atmosphere. Only gripe is that the food is very hit and miss and far too expensive for what it is. Not sure if they are trying to be a gastropub... as the venue is so laid back it doesn't feel like they want you to think it's a gastropub. So having to pay extra for side orders is really too much.
We had a steak and 2 of the lamb burgers and all 3 dishes were pretty cold and not great.
Would return for booze, not for burgers - too much on offer in Balham that beats it in that department.

A cracking place. Friendly bar staff, lovely food, good selection of beers and non-poncey atmosphere.

Went there twice on August. Really nice food, nice everything. Mussels first day were absolutely delicious, but the second day... rotten. Lovely food, lovely bartenders but one dissapointing thing: Why the hell do they keep insisting on keeping your credit card since you sit down untill you've paid?
