Tas (Borough High Street)

Went to Tas on Saturday evening, they were very busy but squeezed us in without a reservation. This is the third time I have been now, the service was great, wonderful atmosphere, spotless surroundings (loos to die for) and the food was sublime. In a party of 3, we all had starters, mains, a beer each and bottle of wine and one pudding and the bill including service charge came to £83 and we were stuffed and happy, we shall be back!

I went to Tas with a few friends and we had a splendid experience.

The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was wonderful and the staff were simply amazing.

I would recommend Tas to anyone - truly excellent value for money.

I visited Tas on a cold Tuesday in November and noted that most tables were occupied. I was in a party of ten which cannot be easy for restaurants. However, Tas excelled themselves and delivered beautifully presented food of great quality in a surprisingly timely manner.

It was an impressive performance and the bill was very reasonable indeed.

This restaurant deserves to succeed and I hope it does.

The food was ok but rather plain and nothing like authentic Turkish food (that I have experienced in Turkey). For the price, I don't think it was worth it and wouldn't rush back.

Great place, absolutely lovely food and very professional staff. We have been visiting Tas (Borough market) for almost 2 years and I have never had a bad meal in there. We were taking our families in there and everyone was imprested. We were eating in great restaurants in many different countries and I would not say a bad word about Tas. Value is great, service is professional and if you get a table upstairs you will not be disappointed. I am sorry for people who are leaving bad reviews without visiting some much more expensive restaurants in the west end or the city with low quality of food and without comparing prices, food and just nice and polite waiters in Tas.

We went to this restaurant as my Dad often recommended it. However this time we were all a little disappointed.

It wasn't terrible. Just disappointing.

Our starters were very tasty. The main courses were average. My boyfriend and Dad both ordered the kidneys and they were not properly cooked. My dish- Salmon grill was, a little bland.

Service was good- however they did forget some of our drinks.

The worst part was the desserts. a shallow plate of yogurt for over £4! Three tiny tiny pieces of baklava again for over £4! So this is how they are paying for the ornate mosaic tiles in the beautiful bathroom!
