My husband and I have been going to Annies for a while now and have always had a fantastic time. The atmosphere and decor is so well done and the staff are brilliant and make you feel very welcome. Unfortunately on our last visit about a month ago we were served by a waitress who was extremely unwelcoming and rude. She seemed more interesting in trying to talk to other staff than actually paying any attention to her tables. I only mention this as we were with some friends last night who had exactly the same experience with a waitress of the same description, although they did not find out her name. Such a pity as the service is normally fautless. Food as always was divine.

A very pretty restaurant with an intimate feel. The staff are pleasant and the service is good even when the restaurant is full - which it usually is at weekends. It's the decor and the ambiance which are the stars here rather than the kitchen. Food is OK - good enough but not as good as the bill would suggest.

Charming restaurant set in the village atmosphere of Strand-on-the-Green, riverside Chiswick. The food is consistently good and the service consistently friendly and efficient. The decor is magic antique and the atmosphere intimate and relaxed. Last visit I had succulent monk fish, fresh, crisp Spanish white wine and a mouth watering sticky toffee pudding to round off.

I had Saturday lunch here a couple of weeks ago with some mates before going on to the rugby. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This place is nice enough, but I'm not quite sure what they're aiming to be. I agree it has a homely (if slightly chinzy and frayed) feel. And much of the menu reflected this. However there was a srpinkling of rather over-ambitious nonsense on the menu which felt out of place.

The wine list was ok, however several bottles were unavailable (apparently they have a new manager who is in the process of over-hauling the list - seemingly stripping out some of the more interesting choices!). And not cheap.

There ought to be a fixed price lunch - ordering al la carte worked out to be more costly than it should have been.

Service was relaxed - which was fine for us.

Went to Annie's in Chiswick last Friday evening for a birthday dinner. I was really looking forward to it, having been at the other restaurant a few times before. It did not live up to expectations.

The crab and avocado salad was completely overpowered by chilli, the presentation was poor: half an avocado with a pile of crab on top and some leaves on the side. The venison was a boring and chewy stew that was not worth eating, with mash that was watery and tasteless. The Creme brulee was absolutely delicious though.

The service was lacklustre and lqcked professionalism. The charming decor is not enough to lift this offering. When I found out what the bill came to I was quite shocked, it is certainly not worth around £50 a head. Annie's was an expensive disappointment

The service was poor. Each time you called for the waiter/owner it felt like you were bothering him. Would not go there again as although the decor was lovely, the service was poor, and for their prices it is not worth it!

Very pleasant meal. Good service, nice atmosphere. Pity it's such a trek from tube or train station.
