I have only just discovered Annie's and what a hidden gem it is. The restaurant has a real cosey homely feel (I likened it to Charlotte's Place in Ealing where we frequently visit) and the service was excellent.

The portions are very generous. I had the asparagus starter from the special menu and my husband had the thai fishcakes and both were excellent. I was torn between the fish pie and the fish, chips and mushie pies and in the end opted for the fish pie, and then helped myself to some of my husband's fish and chips!! Again both our mains were excellent - we felt completely stuffed by this point but the puddings looked so good that after a breather we ordered 2, finally leaving feeling we wouldn't need to eat for 24 hours!! Including wine and service the bill was about £80 which was very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food.

I wish I'd discovered Annie's sooner but will definitely be returning.

What a lovely place!!!! Everything in this restaurant is nice except one thing - the food.

We were looking for a nice place to have dinner on sunday night and we found Annie's website.

The place looked so nice that we booked a table straight away without even having a look at the menu as we were sure after the pictures of the restaurant and few dishes we saw on the website that we were about to have a lovely time.

What a disappointment !!!

I ordered the goat's cheese salad as starter, honestly it looked like I did it myself. No effort whatsoever in the presentation of the dish and far too much dressing, my partner had the halloumi, fig... salad same thing again no effort on the presentation of the dish and they definitely have to sort out the dressing problem.

To follow my partner had the breast of duck and I ordered the grilled chicken breast. My partner dish was not eatable, the breast of duck was over cooked and the mountain of potatoes served with it had a funny taste (burned maybe...) and my chicken breast was in fact a chicken salad and I have to say even if it's not what I was expecting it was ok but the dressing!!!!.

The service is ok but they could improve. When we told the waiter about the breast of duck he said " I'll get you the manager" who obviously didn't care as he didn't come to the table and when the waiter came back he offered a dessert on the house witch we kindly refused, frankly after the lack of taste of the previous dishes, thank you very much but no thank you.

We asked for the bill and only then the manager talked to us as he had no choice as he was the only person in the room at that very moment and he removed the duck dish from the bill, witch I think was the appropriate thing to do (very kind of him though as he didn't have to).

Overall it's a lovely, lovely place, in my opinion the presentation and taste of the food have to improve as the service because it doesn't come cheap: for a 3 courses meal in total (2 starters and 1 main) plus a bottle of wine, 2 house cocktail @6.95 each and the service charge it came up to £95 ( for 3 salads I found it a bit overpriced....)

It is so nice to see a restaurant that has stuck to the important things. Great food, great staff and great surroundings. As someone who does not live in Chiswick I will make a concerted effort to go back at the earliest opportunity. Well done to the owner you should be justifingly proud.

Truly amazing - can't believe I only found such a perfect hidden gem! The food was superb, the service was flawless and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. Perfect for a first date or a lazy sunday lunch. Highly recommended!

I have been to annie's regularly over the past 5 years and I have always enjoyed both food and service, although being mediterranean, I am quite picky about food in the UK. It has a very nice atmosphere, the food is good and the employees are really nice and helpful.
