food i below average. i had the cod and chips.cod was frozen...im no expert but the texture was like paper. the chips were bog standard frozen chips. the rest of the menu seemed pretty unspectacular & the scotch steak was definately not scotch beef! decor is cosy enough.

I have been there a couple of times and really like it. The shepherd's pie is excellent and so is the Thai fish cakes starter. The tables are big and the food is served pretty quickly - although some of my friends thought the portions were too large.

I much prefer this to their other restaurant at Strand on the Green - it just has a better atmosphere.

Warm and homely environment, a place you could kick back on Sunday afternoon and watch the world go by. Child friendily too. Good food reasonably priced.
