Bar Asia

I have to agree with all the reveiwers here. Bar Asia is an AWESOME find. We live near it and had passed it often but only went in last weekend. My husband and I both love dim sum and thai and indian food and this restaurant honestly honestly delivered the BEST dim sum, thai / indian curry i have ever had in my life and we've been to some great restaurants. Recommend all the steamed dumplings and then the prawn curry afterwards is to die for. We now can't get enough of it and every excuse to go there, we take it! please Bar asia don't change chefs, or staff (extremely friendly and great service which is rare for a really great restaurant) Also great cocktails.

First may i say i'm not the kind of guy to leave reviews but in Bar Asia's case had to.

Bar Asia was a wonderful find. I was enticed in by the promise of a fusion of eastern cuisines and so took my girlfriend here for Valentines Day hoping it would be as good as it sounded. I was welcomed in by friendly and helpful staff who attended to our needs swiftly without ever being intrusive. Inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the seating and spacing is very comfortable.

The uncomplicated menu had a delightful mix of indian and thai styles that work brilliantly together. I can honestly say that the duck curry i had for a main dish was the softest, most succulent and tastiest meal i've ever had in an asian restaurant. My girlfriend wants me to mention the prawns too as she loved them.

The whole experience was fantastic. The waitress never allowed my glass to be empty and worked hard to make sure we were taken care of. i thouroughly recommend this restaurant for lovers of indian food who want to try something new and a bit different.

we heard about this restaurant from friends who recommended it .we booked a table for 4, for my gilfriends birthday and we were not disapointed. the food was absolutly first class, the best thing i can say about this delightful place is the food is prepared in a real fresh and invigorating way that is so different to any indian or chinese we have ever been to, a real twist of classic indian and chinese food, its very hard to combine these two types of foods but the inventive and fresh ideas that the chefs have really make this food so unique, the chilli salmon parcels and the lamb chops/cutlets were so good they opened my eyes to how bland most eastern restaurants can be,

we also recommend the water melon cocktails, i could of had one in a pint glass!!!

Wow - what a find. I stumbled across Bar Asia and it was one of the best finds ever. The menu is mixed with Thai and Indian dishes, but it was some of the freshest and best food I have eaten in the area. Definately worth a visit.

Finally an affordable restaurant in Kensington! Good good and good value for money. I went here with my partner who likes Indian food whereas I wanted Chinese and Cafe News Bar Asia has both as well as some thai and malaysian dishes.
