The first problem with Found is finding it. But then maybe that does not concern me as it is one of those seceret touches of quality Londoners are always happy to find and keep to themselves; especially as the quality comes with value.
Found is yet to establish itself with a customer base and accordingly the eating atmosphere needs strengthening. The drinking atmosphere (downstairs) does not. The owner, Gary F, has a rep for being bartender to the YBAs. A Thursday or Friday night in the bar downstairs will see the likes of Tracey Emin and the Hoxton set all trying to establish new vodka drinking records. In the end these are good people and it is a fun place to drink.
The real secret is the food. At lunch you can pick up two courses for £12 or three for £14 (set menu). I have just had a grilled chicory with pinenuts and roquefort starter (absolutely delicious) followed by an Irish stew main. The quality was exceptional. What better comfort food for winter and how can you go wrong for £12?
Last week, one evening, I had a main of pheasant and chirozo stew. Did it work - you bet. The head chef clearly knows his stuff and you can't go wrong with their Wagyu burger.
If you like good food at great prices and think you might like to venture where the coolest people in London drink, this might be your kind of gaff. It's fairly new on the map and still has some way to go, but if you can find Found you will have found a little find.

I went to Found with a few friends the other night and was dumbfounded by the quality of the food. I only recently heard that the chef is Gordon Ramsay trained! Gary(the owner) was an incredibly chatty and convivial host.
