The Moose

I went to Moose last night and took full advantage of their 4 hour happy hour. Had some really tastey cocktails and a big bowl of cheesey chips in exchange for very little of my hard earned cash. Ended up sitting downstairs which we hadn't done before and although it wasn't full made a bunch of new friends and danced about a bit. Will definatly go back, the barman told us that Friday Nights would be right up our street!!

I went to the Moose for a mid-week drink with friends after work. The 'theme' (is there a venue in this town that isn't themed?) is alpine/ski chalet in the rustic sense, in other words, designed on a budget with timber-lined walls and a job lot of 'funky' wallpaper. The comfort factor is low, which doesn't encourage patrons to linger but maybe that's not the point of this recent Vince Power venue. It's certainly not a destination place but handy if you're in Selfridges desperate for a drink and can't be bothered queuing to get into one of the in-store bars. Drinks went down ok, had a lovely passionfruit and vodka cocktail, otherwise nothing to write home about.
