Fairly good service, friendly staff - depending on which waiter attends to you. Food's not bad - not the best seafood restaurant I've been to, not the worst either. But this is super super pricey.

been here once before with good results but our recent visit was poor. one main course sent back as it was cold - they returned it with the same cold meat but heated up the gravy!?. john dory over salted also.
standards are slipping and should be better at a place like this

Food was very nice but we were rushed throughout. One of our dishes did not arrive and we had to ask for it. We ended up sitting outside in order to enjoy the rest of our evening, thankfully the weather was pleasant. At £110 per head (and I didn't even have desert or coffee), I think it unreasonable to be reminded constantly that we only had our table for 2 hours.

indeed it is a very attractive place with an appealing oyster and seafood bar in the middle
however on one side of the dining room white tablecloths are on the tables on the other side only a napkin - a cover charge is still on your bill.
aperitives are served without any thing aside, same for the coffee not a single chocolate
the food is good and obviously very fresh and most of the time service is friendly
there are no half bottles of wine - only halfs of champagne - but a good choice of wines are served by the glass and by carafe of half a litre
prices are going up fastly : good but not cheap at all - you are in the middle of Mayfair ...

After several visit to Scott's I never imagined writing a critical review. However, this was a disappointing visit. When making the reservation for four I requested a table in the back room (which is where we always prefer to sit) and re-requested this on confirming the booking. However they clearly disregarded this and put us in the main room. Sorry but I like to eat on white linen when I dine out - I can get bare tabletops at my local pizzeria.
The service throughout was slow and inattentive and we had to keep drawing waiters' attention. One side dish never came at all after repeated prompting and eventually, when I got tetchy, it arrived after we'd finished eating. In fairness they didn't charge for it and gave us complimentary glasses of champagne at the end but the evening was done by then .
On the food front there was too much liberal use of salt on too many dishes and all four of us felt this to be the case.
So I guess it was an OK meal but this was not a great evening out.
We'll still return to Scott's but it's dropped off our favourite restaurants list.

A superb restaurant. The service was delightful and the food was exceptional all round. A rather overpriced wine list, but that comes with the territory i suppose.
Every dish served to our table was perfect, and we all ordered something different. Suprisingly, also a huge list of desserts (sweet and savoury - all delicious).
Its a shame that it is so excruciatingly expensive. Also its a total liberty that they charge a 'cover' per person on top of the price of the food.

Went to Scott's last week with my wife to celebrate 15 years together. Although with a slightly rocky start, the evening was great and the service was first class, with no pressure to hurry up (we had a 7.30 booking). When we arrived and had our coats checked in, as you do, we mentioned our names at the front desk so that we could be seated. Now bearing in mind we had a 7.30 booking and arrived at 7.25, most of the tables were free. Despite this, the man at the deak (who may have been the maitre d) asked his colleague to seat us at probably the worst table in the restaurant (right next to a cutlery desk) in a corner away from the main action in the restaurant. His colleague looked visibly shocked when he was instructed by the maitre d, and discreetly asked him to confirm. The confirmation was given. My wife and I spotted something was up so when we were shown to our table, I straight away asked whether there was another better table available. We told that either the table next to this was available, or another round table was available, where we could be sat more side by side. We opted for the round table and it was wonderful. The rest of the evening was great and the food delicious. The table incident did leave a slight sour taste, and reading the rest of the reviews here it does seem to been indicative of a wider issue at the restaurant. Not sure if my wife and I did not 'look' the right type in the eyes of the maitre d and whether he thought he could not get away with it, but I was definitely not going to settle for it. Anyway, fortunately it did not ruin our evening.

We booked a table for 2 for 6pm and had a perfect meal. Lady had Maldon Oysters, 6, followed by 16oz Dover Sole, meuniere. I had the plateau de fruits de mer with lobster option, we shared a Picpoul de Pinet white, ideal for the food.
Apart from the tiresome request to order a drink while you are still greeting one another and havent even looked at the wine list, which was then whipped away because we said we would have wine with the meal, service was faultless throughout. There was none of the needless requests to have the table back when you are trying to pay the bill or have just been sold a pudding. As this is what let down Scotts in the past, we were really delighted with the meal. All the tools needed were provided for the crustaceans, and regular clean plates and napkins, plus a change of ice when they started to submerge.
Excellent

As a regular diner at the restaurant I was very disappointed with the whole meal and evening last night. After settling on the 2nd sitting of 9.30pm I was surprised the restaurant was only 3/4 full through the night, the restaurant also smelt unfresh. The senior staff one could not tell if customers or employees as they were all wearing different suits and ties with no identification so it was embarrassing at times.
The bread arrived which appears to be cut up white and brown French sticks collected from the local supermarket, probably 2 days ago and warmed to soften the hardness. One of the starters being scallops consisted of just 3no. each placed onto a well used and not so clean looking shell.
The main course were even less appetising, the goujons of sole I was expecting 3 large goujons when a pile of what resembled supermarket goujons arrived, tasting no different in fact worse. The Game pie had a fatty crust and when opened seemed to have just the odd chunks of game all swimming in a very light watery sauce. In fact the pie I feel should be renamed chicken pie. Another main course selection was the Ray Wings, well this was huge, far too large and had a unpleasant crust on the top as if over cooked with no garnish what so ever. After the wine finished had we were not asked if we would like another bottle. After what looked a member of kitchen staff coming in to whip off table cloths all around us we debated if to leave for coffee and dessert at Claridges or the Connaught but decided to have coffee without chocolates which were an extra £4! Espresso was served in what looked liked cafe tea cups. At £90 a head without dessert a total waste of money and without the pumped up press coverage this restaurant is so not what is once was!!!!!

I have eaten here many times over the last 3 years and can't say the service has been anything like it is described below.I have always found it utterly professional, respectful and courteous. Two weeks ago, three friends and I had a very long lunch and were still there as the evening covers were turning up and at no time were we rushed or given any signs that it was time for us to leave. The food has always been of high quality and whilst it may not win any awards it never ever disappoints-the Wild Rabbit on Toast we had to start was wonderful.Always an enjoyable experience for me and all my friends I have recommended it to.
