This backstreet restaurant in bloomsbyry is a great find, with friendly service and food that are very interesting and tastey, modern cooking but have the usual tandoori stuff too.
The 50% Offer was fantastic and real value for mone, Highly reccomend this restaurant.

We visited Salaam Namaste for dinner tonight with a friend and on the whole the food was very enjoyable. Lamb chops with ginger and herbs were very nice, Goan style king prawns were also well received even though my wife normally does not eat too spicy. An aubergine dish for our friend seemed to go down well. Naans and Paratha were average but the Mango lasses was nice. Coffee was ok. We visited under 50% deal and in the end the meal came to 39.90 for three including service instead of 56.70 pounds. For the quality of the food I would have happily paid the full price.
The place seemed very popular and it was full to the last place even though it was Wednesday night.

We went to Salaam Namaste on Saturday night under the 50% off special offer. The bill was £22.50 after the discount (where it would have cost £23.05 without any offers). Clearly they are using this offer as a thinly veiled scam to get diners in the door. The assumption being customers are then too drunk to realise they have paid full price. On top of that, the waiter insisted we pay the "discretionary" service charge. Unless you want a stand up argument with your curry, go somewhere else.

Great discovery this. Tucked away in a quiet part of Bloomsbury but worth the effort to find it. Everything from the pickle tray through the starter to the main course was delicious. The prices were reasonable which made it exceptional value for money as the food was easily as good as some of the better known top Indian restaurants in London. The staff were great and the service was good. Nice to see daily specials as well on the menu. Great!

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant.
Their menu is very interesting- like Squid Taragon or the Afghani Lamb bara are really delectable starter.
For the main we tried their Zafrani Duck- This was on their chefs Chat section. the duck was tender and in a saffron sauce 10/10.
The ambionce in the restaurant is friendly and staff genuinely interested to know customers and their feedback.
Deffinetely be back!

This place is a gem. Fab fresh food, beautifully distinct flavours and an interestingly eclectic menu. Dhal to die for. Our only negative was the taxi we ordered from here.....ripoff!

We attended this restaurant after a friend recommended it - saying it was mentioned in the Guardian newspaper. When we arrived the atmosphere was peaceful and relatively quaint ... which sometimes is something you just want, a quiet place where you can speak to your family/friends while enjoying the food on offer.
The Staff we found to be helpful and willing to ensure we had a good time. I'm not sure if that was just because it was relatively quiet at that time of the evening - anyway the starters were great, anyone whose a curry fan, is usually a sucker for Poppadoms & chutneys. Between us we ordered a selection of dishes and then just mixed it all up dependng on who liked what the most ... Bottom line is, as long as their are enough of you to order a selection you cannot fault this place for great tasting dishes, if there are a couple of you, perhaps you ask for a chef's recommendation.
