We visited the Promenade for afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. I have to say that I found it to be a marvelous experience. The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive, whilst still allowing us time to enjoy ourselves and converse uninterrupted. The sandwiches were delicious, of good variety (five different types, as I recall), and on some wonderful artisan breads. There was a fantastic selection of teas to suit all tastes, and we opted for the fragrant and refreshing Paris blend.

In addition to the lovely, crumbly scones with cream and jam, we were served a delightful selection of delicate cakes and pastries. I suffer from a nut allergy, but this in no way affected our experience. An additional selection of nut free treats were prepared and served to me, which I felt marked a particularly attentive service.

We were left so impressed by our visit that we have decided to establish it as an annual visit for us.

Surely, there can be no higher commendation than a returning customer.
