Wow Simply Japanese

We finally ate at Wow Simply Japanese after living in Crouch End for over a year and are unsure how we managed to go so long without without visiting. The food was very good - especially the salmon skin rolls and deep fried squid. It was very good value for money and we will definitely go there again, even if t's only for take out.

My Wife & I have to say a very big thank you for this guide/recommendation. The resaurant was in the minimal japanese style (sparse). With a relaxed atmosphere.
We were given good prompt service by Japanese waiteresses.(I prefer to be served by Japanese people at a Japanese restaurant).
As for the food WOW (sorry). It was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted fresh. The tempura was light, and crisp. We also had a very good sashimi set, and the sushi was spot on. Although being served Bento in a restaurant was a bit weird for me, but my wife feels it's normal for England.
We also had a very satisfying Plum wine, free top ups on Ocha (green Tea). plus extra wasabi, and Ginger (free).
The price worked out at less than £20.00 per head. We considered that as very reasonable.
We +2 kids left that restaurant very satisfied indeed.
There is no doubt that we will make the trip from the other side London to dine there again.

Real Japanese food and excellent service. We tried a mix of the a la carte menu, the bento boxes, sushi, sashimi, yakinasu etc and it was all really well prepared.

A great eating experience, the sushi really is spot on and the menu offers a lot of choice outside just sushi/nigiri/sashimi etc.
Pricewise its good value for money as the food really is delicious, my partner and I went and ate til we were full for under £40 (no wine though).
My only reservation is that as it is so small and there is no music it can sometimes feel a little awkward having a conversation where everyone can hear you.
Definitely worth a try.

A wonderfully full on Japanese restaurant, bar any brusqueness that one too often encounters.
The staff are wonderfully gracious; kind, and friendly, without being intrusive in any way.
The decor is stylishly, & warmly, minimal; the atmosphere one of buzzing content, and most importantly the food is divine!
The quality of the fish, & all ingredients used, shines through, and as one would expect it's presented magnificently. The lightly, seared tuna & asparagus salad is a treat on the tongue.
Well worth a trip to Crouch End.
