Opted for Smollensky's for an informal buisness lunch after reading ok reviews. Not great. The place barely scraped average. Bad service and terrible food. If it is trying to be an Amercian Steak house it should at least get some good steaks. Will not be tempted to return.

I absolutely love this restaurant in Canary Wharf!

they are constantly up to something to bring the punters in and they are one venue who always deliver the goods in my opinion. We took our mum there for Mother's Day (and given they do not normally open on Sundays, proves my point). For starters, all of the Mums were treated to a free champagne cocktail on arrival and then on departure were presented with a lily bulb to take home and watch grow. My Mum managed to wangle herself a bunch of them and is patiently expecting her first blooms.

The food was excellent as always and it is refreshing to see this place full of customers other than the usual suited office crowd that pack it out during the week.

Totally disagree with some of the poorer reviews Smollesnkys has got on this site - it is tops!

Bring back the 1986 menu as soon as you like folks, that was a cracker too.

Absolutely awful!

Bad music! Bad atmosphere! Bad & Slow service! Lack of choice on the menu! Cold food! Expensive!

I went on a friday night and hardly anyone was there and i am not surprise!

Smollensky isn't like this before...so disappointing!
