Smollensky’s (Canary Wharf)

I went to Smollensky's restaurant and had an amazing time. My partner and I were served by very knowledgable staff and friendly welcoming manager and I would advise all the city people to try it. The food and the atmosphere was perfect and their wine list is quite clearly the best in the City.

This was my first time eating at Smollensky's and I can say with 100% that I'll not be going back there ever again. The service was horrible!!! Waitress had a attitude and she took the liberty to give herself tip even thought I put down 0. For the price we paid for the food it was not worth it. I had better street food than at Smollensky's. Very bad experience

Read the comments below and want to say that we recently had a meal there and everything WAS VERY GOOD AND TO HIGH STANDARD. NO SIGN OF SMOKE AT ALL !

Our meal was delicious and staff were helpfull (we had a special request and it was done) and I agree, their desserts are truly delicious (had peanut cheesecake).

I was close to the kitchen, when their smoke extract system thing failed. A manager came up to us and offered another table further into the restaurant which had just become available. He was polite, apologetic and cute! Helped us by carrying our drinks. Despite the smoke, we enjoyed our meal and want to say thank you to the chefs, I saw the circumstance they were working in. Big thank you.

P.S. I felt I was in one of those Kitchen Reality TV Show, watching everything happening.

Rubbery, wretched steak. I really wonder what the poor cow could have done to offend the proprietors of Smollensky's. A gorgeous view -- but filthy dishes through the place, smoky from the grill, service completely absent, and overpriced to boot! Avoid this place at all costs.
