I had dinner at Mar I Terra with my friends. All the dishes which I ate were excellent and tasty, especially baked octopus. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the waitress was polite and attentive, and the atmosphere was romantic and a homelike. The place was close to piccadily station. It took 3 minuetes from the station. I was satisfied with food, the atomosphere, the staff and reasonable price. Mar I Terra was the most excellent I have ever had. If you are looking for a reasonable spanish restaurant, I recommend it. I would love to go back there again.

This is the 2nd time I come here as I thought the 1st time was already very good. And again, excellent! I am going to Spain every year and have visited quite a number of restaurants (even ones where the locals come), but this is the best!
I have never ever had such good Calamaris.
Service was very friendly and relaxed and they made my evening. I will definately go back again next time I'm in London.

There is a word that describes my opinion about this place: DISGUSTING. The tapas are small, greasy, unauthentic… the atmosphere is cold, the service to pushy annoyingly friendly. It reminds me to the WORST tapas restaurants in costa del sol…

I booked this restaurant before leaving Jersey and without any knowledge of London restaurants. The manager, ( a father of five) was friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant is small and intimate with functional decor in relaxing colours. The food was delicious and the three of us loved every dish we sampled. We were also impressed by the excellent white rioja and the very reasonable final bill. It was an excellent place to eat early and walk to the theatre only two streets away. If you'd like excellent Spanish tapas at a reasonable price in friendly surroundings, look no further!

The food in Mar i TERRA (SOHO) was very good and the taste authentically Spanish fresh and delicious. We work just around the corner from more than 8 years and we never realize that we had kind of jewel just there. It is not expensive at all and the service was also very good. Me and my guests were very pleased with the restaurant and will go back there.

I ate at the Soho branch of this restaurant last night.
Service was excellent, but other than that, what a disappointment! Batatas bravas were like soggy chips and came with a mayonaisse topping... Prawns were a bit bland... the Sangria was pretty unpleasant... Meatballs just weren't that tasty... all in all, it just felt like reheated school dinners!
I've had some fantastic tapas - eg Cigala on Lambs Conduit St - and this is just not in the same class.
If you're in that area, go to Ryo on Brewer St for excellent miso ramen and other snacky Japanese dishes - some of the best in London.
