The food was tasting well enough but my husband found a hair in his food. We quietly told the watress. She took away the plate and brought him a fresh dinner. They gave us complementary cups of tea wich was nice. When it came time to pay the bill they charged us twice for one bottle of wine and twice for our mineral water. We pointed this out and they made the corrections on the bill but it still left a bad taste in our mouths.

Had lunch here and the food is well presented and quality is pretty good. The seabass in tamarind sauce was very tasty. Overall good but pretty expensive and nothing mindblowing.

I thought the food here was really great. I had the red curry, it was creamy and spicy just lovely. Staff were nice as well. Did try and get us to have drinks at the bar for 10 minutes though even though when we got downstairs there were plenty of tables available.

We've eaten Thai food around the world (including many times in Thailand) and Patara compares quite well. The service is always warm and professional, and staff try hard to accommodate even if you don't have a reservation. Prices are on the high side, but quality is high too. If better Thai food exists in central London, I'd love to try it.

I went to Patara last Friday and it happened to be a very nice evening. The food was excellent-hot and came fast-the service was also very good. Both my husband and me would like to go back and we recomended the place to our close friends.

This restaurant has a great feel atmosphere, and asusual the thai people are extremely polite and friendly. This is definetly not the best thai restaurant i have tasted but it is what you expect for going into central london. Portions are small, and is a nice place to go, if you are not paying.

Totally agree with the others, I have tried many thai restaurants in london and this serves the best thai food, from starters to desserts, every dish is tasty.

Although its a bit pricey but the quality of the food makes it all worth while, will definitely go again.

Took a client there for dinner this week and we all had a great meal. Service was good and the food was all excellent. Be prepared to be sitting close to the other tables and if, like us, you order a lot of food you will need to be prepared to be knocking plates with each other - the tables are small.

Went there last night with my husband for my birthday. Was an okay night, but nothing special. The staff were delightful, though we often had to ask for our wine glasses to be refilled. The food was okay but not exceptional as I was led to believe by others on this site. Hand rolled spring roles were uneatable, though steamed dumplings were palatable. Both black cod and scallops were fantastic but the pak choy came dry and tasteless. Overall, an okay dinner out but would probably go for lunch next time.
