Dined at Patara London on saturday night and the food was very nice with great flavors. However I have never experience such rude staff - we were booked for an 8pm dinner and at 9:50pm we were told that the table was needed back within 1 minute. The head waiter and another waitress stood over our table until we left. It was a horrible end to the evening as we had just finished desert and we unable to finish our wine in comfort. Patara London is definitely not a restaurant I would recommend to anyone - a very disappointing visit.

The best Thai food I've ever had. Pleasant surroundings and good staff.
The dishes were more unique than I've had before.

Patara Thai has a very arrogant waitress who refused to serve us because we were Indian. She said the place is shut so we asked for take away. And she allowed other people to walk in after us. Food was good though. But the one waitress ruined everything for that place.

I'm a regular at Patara Knightsbridge, however a week ago, I booked a table at the Maddox Street branch for a works do, I can honestly say on behalf of my team and myself it was a wonderful meal, the food was cooked to perfection, the staff was polite, helpful and kind, and at no time were we made to feel rushed nor did we experience any rude staff, its not cheap but nor is it expensive for what you get, I can only suggest to those people who commented earlier about the price of the meal that if you want cheap meals, then look elsewhere.
I would recommend this restaurant and along with the other 15 members of my team, we would definately eat here again.

The staff are very nice but the food was not great bearing in mind the prices. Although we had asked for everything to be "mild" (which they confirmed they could do) they forgot not to throw in handfuls of chillies - had to send the food back a couple of times before the chef took on board that we wanted it mild. The fish was badly cooked and again, we had to send it back but the same serving was returned inedible, yet they charged for it. Would not go back but I understand the one in Greek Street is better.
Highly overpriced.

A flavour packed menu and a favourite for my girlfriend and her family - we had a ''Christmas'' dinner there and loved it. We shared a number of dishes, each as good as the next and I think that’s the best way to experience Patara and get to try everything!
We were not hurried at all but did have a table downstairs so perhaps it's different upstairs. Relaxed atmosphere, smart interior and not over priced food & wine (it felt fair for the quality and evening).
It’s on the short list for next years get together already!

We had a customer in yesterday so rather than send out for some uninspiring M&S sandwiches we decided to pop downstairs to Patara. We tend to use Patara a fair bit when entertaining at work as it is only downstairs, quick and reasonable. They do a great business lunch platter which gives you a bit of everything. Having said I was getting a bit fed up with the same platter and was pleased to see they had given it a bit of a makeover. Presented on a long dish with a few different bits it looked very nice. The customer enjoyed it and there was a really good buzz in there as it was busy. I found my jumbo prawn platter very nice though the bowl of veg was slightly overcooked, the jumbo prawns however were perfect.
One draw back was one of our party ordered a starter and main instead and the main took a bit long to arrive. However it was very nice when it did turn up. We were also given some complementary melon after the meal which was a nice touch. The meal for 4 with thea bottle of house Shiraz came to £100 which was very good value.
I noticed they have revamped the rest of their menu so a may well pop back for further sampling. Along with Goodman down the road Maddox St is well looked after.
