Haiku Restaurant

My fiancee took me to Haiku on Saturday for a celebratory meal. We ordered eight dishes between us and every one was fabulous. Even the tofu was delicious, and that it a difficult thing to achieve! My only complaint was that the restuarant was really cold. I had to ask for my coat as the air conditioning was up so high. Someone was wearing a pashmina and another person had a scarf on, but the staff didn't get the hint.
However, overall the food was lovely and the service was impeccible. I would definitley recommend.

Most likely you will come back to Haiku not for the food perhaps for the athmosphere and even more probably just because it is a convenient place for a business lunch.
We went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was 80% full. Intimate atmosphere, sophiticated environnment but perhaps a little too dark.
Service was acceptable although often ruined by a few (most) un-experienced waiters with a very casual approach.
The menu choice proved to be one of the worst moment. There are too many dishes and you need to be an expert of asian food to get the sequence non-spicy/spicy right. Perhpas this was a problem already raised by others as some dishes were printed in red. Apparently they are the most ordered by customers since they opened..that is about since 5-6 weeks. Anyway waiters were very helpful in supporting the struggle.
Food was at best acceptable but certainly not memorable. Probably at the same level of a good chinese and slightly better than an Itsu. I did not try any indian dish.
Service was in many instances very casual although not bad.......anyway truly unforgettable was the open kitchen 11pm shutdown/clean-up operatons while still halfway thorught the meal... I will not forget the black biners being filled while eating.
Bill was as expected (relatively expensive) ... but not justifying with the average quality (and quantity) of the food presented.
I left the restaurant thinking that I had been to a stunnigly decorated place surrounded by a relatively poshy crowd and felt my stomach as been fed chinese nibbles. I am nort sure i will be back

Super, Super restaurant. I hosted a table of 8 people at Haiku last night and I have to say it was one of the best dinging experiences all 8 of us had. We allowed the waiter order a mix of dishes for us and it was spectacular from start to finish. The restaurant has three or four kitchens going at the same time and three delivered dish after dish of gastronomic bliss. We had dishes with Japanesse, Chinese, Korean, Malaysian and Indian influences and all were exeptional. Apologies for ranting on but its not often you come across a unique eating esperience. I'm sure it will be imposible to get a table once word spreads.
