Me and my partner live locally and found this place by chance. The people are always very nice and the food great. The choritzo is amazing and we have all the dishes containing it! Nice with a glass of prosecco. Sometimes the staff are a bit 'slow' but in q an adorable way, they are very friendly. Great atmosphere and its lovely to support a local business who seem to be doing very well. They have outside seating (on the road) for smokers too.
A nice local, or even for a bus ride away, not for massive occassions I would say.

We had a fantastic evening at Tapastry, and thoroughly recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed and although it was very busy (on a monday night!) the tables are well spaced so it is possible to have a private conversation. The food was some of the nicest tapas I have had outside Spain, especially the Aubergine Mancego Bake and the lamb. The wine list is quite good and there are some nice Ports available as well.

We're lucky enough to live locally and go to Tapastry at least once a week. Have never had a bad meal there - all the dishes we've tried (and we've tried most of them) have been excellent. Favourites include the aubergine manchego bake (which even converted my boyfriend who doesn't like aubergine) and the marinated lamb. They have Cruzcampo on tap and a short but interesting wine list. Its a lovely, chilled, homely kind of place where you can happily while away the evening, and we always get a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. It is also very good value - reasonably priced with good sized portions.

Just to get the gripes out of the way: first, the name: a cringe-worthy pun; second, the service always feels like it's the waitress' first day (but in a charming way - they are so lovely and friendly that you can forgive them practically anything); and third: Crema Catalana that came out frozen solid - just plain wrong.
Those things aside, I really like this place - its just the kind of chilled venue where you can happily while away a whole afternoon or evening. Another pint of Cruz Campo and some more of those delicious potatoes? Why the hell not? The food is simple but really tasty, incredibly more-ish, and very reasonably priced. Long may it continue.

Very cosy restaurant, friendly staff and truly yummy food. The prices are reasonable. We had approx. 7 tapas dishes (between 2 of us) and a bottle of wine, mineral water and coffee for £25 per head.
Window seat is recommended, so you can eat, drink and watch the world go by.
