As a Malaysian, i am very disappointed with the food. The vegetable curry is tasteless and not spicy at all. The vegetable "bok choi" is serve with only soy sauce. And they do not serve plain rice. You must order the coconut rice at GBP5. Overall, i don't like (Tak Suka) the food at all.

Ah, yes, the 'other restaurant' that tried to con us into ordering eight starters for four people. Of course, it may also help if the waiter knows what wines are on his menu (or just employ a sommelier if it's that difficult, although it's not the largest selection in the world). Or if, in fact, there was one specific waiter who knew what he was doing at all.

I actually think we were very unfortunate, as it was a warm night, but the placing of the patio heaters in the garden was so appalling that we retreated inside, next to the bar.

Nevertheless, the food, although it sounded great on the menu, didn't satisfy. Two of our starters were placed to one side, I hardly ate any of my sakmon, it was that bland, and I'm afraid that the atmosphere and that fact that the restaurant is in one of my favourite nightspots are the saving graces to this eatery. Wouldn't recommend it unless it's a last minute, already-drinking-in-the-Sanderson descision. And even then I'd stay away from the langoustines ...

Although the atmosphere is great since the restaurant is open and is connected to the famous long bar and the courtyard, that is all that I could positively acknowledge. The food was terrible, not only were half the dishes on the menu unavailable, there were only two vegetarian dishes (none of them main courses), and the food was definitely not as appealing to the mouth as it was to the eye. I can honestly say that me and my boyfriend ate about 20% of what we were served and attempted to rearrange the food on our plates to make it look as though we had eaten more. If you do go here, I highly reccommend you eat beforehand and come only to enjoy the cocktails or the atmosphere. Truly a disappointment, and definitely not worth the 98 pounds we spent.

Asia de Cuba again! Except that the foods is not up to the former's standards.

The atmosphere is a bit cold, as the bar's music is too loud for the restaurant.

The service is helpful, but not very focused on the guests.

Stick to Asia de Cuba: Better food, better service, nicer environment and more accessible location.

Ultimately, the Espresso tastes nothing like a real Espresso, but instead coming from a normal all-automatic machine. Not the real thing.
