A lot has changed in this little tucked away restaurant. The deco is really calming. The food is good as usual, better than the shabbier ones behind Centrepoint. The price has, unfortunately gone up a little, perhaps to pay for the new fit out. But the best change is the service. It's much improved. Will now come back more often.

Without doubt this is one of the best korean restaurants. So many people come here. This restaurant has 3 kinds of floor and each floor is differant . There are 8 tables , romantic music and the light is quite dark on the second floor. The staff are very friendly. first flood is just restaurant . You can choose all of korean food.
bool-go-gi and grill fock etc... some dishes are very expensive but the taste is so good. There is karaoke in the basement. Many people use there. so If you want to use it , you have to book. It's good for you.
At the weekend it's really crowded but when you wait little time you can go in.
Good luck !!!

Food is average, portions are tiny and the price is outrageous. I don't know why Korean restaurants charge so much here for low quality food and service.
I'm Korean and I went to Han Kang as my Korean friends recommended it but it was just another low standard rip off Korean restaurant. The majority of Korean restaurants in London are like this and it's embarrassing for Koreans who live here.
The best Korean restaurants in the UK are in New Malden but still, they're nothing special at all. If you want the best Korean food then either go to Koreatown in Los Angeles or Korea.

I've been coming to Han Kang for 7 years now but only on special occassions like Valentine's day or Birthdays as it is quite an expensive place to eat. However I feel that the food and quality of service here does seem to be worth the money (expect to spend at least £25 per head). The barbecue meats are absolutely delicious and the seafood pancake is very nice. The most adventurous dish I have tried is the "raw beef with pear and egg" dish which was amazing! But as I said, only for the adventurous. If you dare to eat steak tartar, you will probably enjoy this dish also.
Will definately recommend to anyone, but make sure are prepared to spend some money.

Not bad but not the best - went with my Korean class from SOAS as well as a few Koreans who are friends/partners of various people there, who did the ordering for us.
The Koreans were not impressed too much with the service, although we all agreed the food was nice enough, but it wasn't great value for money. We all had quite a lot to eat, and shared a nice assortment but it wasn't great value - it was £20/head without drinks, which was about what we paid at Arang for our last class outing, and the food there was better IMO.
One Korean friend asked if we could have some banchan (the small starter dished, which sometimes you will receive free) for free, and they said no at first, but then brough us 2 small free dishes of kim chee....while i never look a gift horse in the mouth, i did think "wow we just spent £200 here and you only saw fit to give 9 people 2 small dishes of kim chee?".
I have experienced free banchan at other places, particularly when the restaurant knows we are from SOAS and are the Korean class, but as i said at the start of this review, the service (while expertly handled by some of the guys who found room on the table and cooked a decent kalbi and boolgogi) was pretty stern and not too warm.
Needless to say the Koreans in the group werne't overly impressed and i doubt we will be returning any time soon.
