The combination of wonderful home cooked food and fab beers has put the Sutton Arms at the top of my list for recommendation. Whether you want a light lunch or something a little more substantial this place offers it all. Ideal for popping in before and after the shows at the Barbican. I have been at least 7 times and i have never been disapointed. I dont usually have time to review places but felt that The Sutton Arms deserved my feedback. Brilliant!!!!

I regularly pop into this pub as it just round the corner from work and it has now become a firm favourite. It's a pub like it's meant to be - no frilly, indentikit decor, it has character and atmosphere and is managed by a great landlord and quality, friendly staff. The beers are original, and actually have flavour and taste! The food is honest, hearty cuisine with hefty portions. Definitely worth a look

I have been eating in the downstairs pub bit of the Sutton Arms for a year now and have been extremely happy with the lunches. The menus are varied and of a particularly high standard - especially the home-made soups which are fantastic! Give it a nother chance past reviewers, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality. Also, the restuarant upsatirs has now been replaced by a more casual sitting area with leather sofas and so on. Recommended!
