Thames is definitely the most authentic and consistent Indian restaurant in London.I had dinner here last week for business purposes. Food was good..........(specially Lamb Nalli Gost)................ and the service was excellent without the feeling of being pushed. menu was fantastic value for money. Will visit again!!!

One of the worst indian restaurant i have ever been to. utter nonsense service and food
the 2 of us had couple of beers and some starters and we had to leave due to some other appointments - the waiter says 'no you cant leave unless you have main course'
while i know this is normal in any central london restaurant but would have expected the waiter to behave himself and politely let us know this. We were ready to pay any cover charge or even for the main course but considering the behaviour of the waiters there we were in no mood to pay.
Absolutely disastrous - bad service -the waiters and whoever in the restaurant came across as very aggressive. No smile whatsoever.
After all these happened the waiters evern banged the door on us - never seen such a behaviour.
Food was horrible - worse than the people there.
Never go there.

The food is good but they lack service with a smile! It's also annoying that they try and make money off you at every opportunity! I had some food leftover so I asked them to pack it for me to take home...they said it will be 50p per box. I thought it was outrageous considering you pay for a main course as well as sides. Extortionate! Very poor service. The manager or whoever served us came across as being very aggressive! I would not go there for another bad experience...best to order take away and not have to deal with the people.

The food was delicious. Well presented and a nice homely atmosphere. However, it should be noted that the service leaves much to be desired. An American couple on the table next to us was shouted at by the waiter when they tried to present a discount voucher. This not only ruined the experience for the diners in question (the young lady left in tears), but also fellow guests. This was a real shame because a courteous smile and polite conversation goes a long way in business. Definitely visit the restaurant if you want great food. Do not visit this restaurant if you want to be treated as a guest and appreciates customer.

We too had the 2FOR1 offer and the waiter very grudgingly agreed that we could use the voucher but said the maximum discount was £7. Luckily we decided to leave due to the attitude of the staff. Judging by the last review we made a good decision.

Very pricy for just a papadom, 3 drinks and 2 mains (33 pounds)! The staff decided that the 2FOR1 offer wasn't valid on that day (strange!!). Interior was quite poor, service was really bad. Will never come back!!!
