Rosso Pomodoro

The mozarella in this restaurant is the freshest i have ever tasted in the UK, it is firm and large in size (small mozarella balls are not as good as the larger ones) - absolutely worth going to rosso pomodoro for the mozarella alone.

The last time we went i had mozarella and green tomato starter which was delicious, then tomato, mozarella and aubergine pasta served in half the aubergine shell - this was very tasty (quite a large portion though!). Then for pudding we had the rum baba - which again was tasty.

All the food is authentically italian and i have even visited this chain in italy (milan) and the food was identical - it is a franchise, the menu is the same everywhere. Italians are notoriously fussy about their food but it was fully booked. The food was of equal standard in london to that of milan. I have not tried the pizza but that also looked very nice.

What i like about this restaurant is that i am always guarenteed a lovely meal and my partner who is vegetarian has plenty of options.

This place is local to my man and I.We had been to Zizzi on this site some time ago,and found it wanting in every way.Never went back.We had come back to town on a Holiday Monday night at 10.30 ish wanting something to eat and we saw Rossopomodoro.They were absolutely welcoming and warm,and the pizze were stupendous-really like you get in Naples-maybe even better.A great choice of wines,breads,dolce.Everything is fresh-the mozzarella is wonderful-they haven't skimped on any of the ingredients.I would recommend it to my Italian friends whole-heartedly
