VK Restaurant & Lounge

vk lounge and bar restaurant in chingford, is a fantastic place which i have now been to a few times so hence why i am giving a review! Bad points first, its hard to find but i am very picky! The service,(when busy) can be slow i had to wait 35 minutes for my dessert and drinks were a bit slow to arrive but thats it and TRUST me when the food arrives boy is it worth it! The staff are friendly especially hazel who has served us on a few occasions, always has time to say hello even when she is so busy,(nice touch). Could go on forever, good luck guys!

V.K CHINGFORD!

I didnt even know about this great restaurant until i was invited to eat with my friends this saturday. The food was v.v.good and different from the norm.

The staff were polite and helpful to our every need, i have never left a review about any restaurant but these guys deserve it, only thing was the bar became very busy at 9.30 and was LOUD!!! maybe im getting old, everybody enjoying themselves thou! So if your looking for a great night out go to VK.

BY THE WAY ITS AT THE END OF STATION ROAD NEAR CHUCKNEY JOES.

And one more thing try the calamarie. WOW.

Fantastic food. We go all the time. So glad it's not another Italian, just what the area needs. Lovely decor, nice relaxed bar area to have a drink or five before and after dinner. Their black russians are to die for. The food is always fab with a varied and ingenuitive menu changed regularly so you won't get bored with coming for the same old same old. Service is always friendly and efficient with the right amount of time left between courses. Check out the new Chingford branch, my other half raved about a meal he had there a couple of weeks ago with the lads for days. It has a late license so well worth a night out apparently. Either way we definitely recommend. My husband took all his staff there last xmas and they had an amazing night. Definitely recommend.

We eat in the VK every week because it is simply the best place in South Woodford to eat! We've lived here all our lives and this is exactly what the area needs. A good restaurant, reasonably priced and great service.

We visited this restaurant last Saturday and to be quite frank the whole evening was a complete disaster.

The service was shocking, the young lady behind the bar when we came in was chewing gum whilst we stood looking at the cocktail list.

The chefs could quite clearly be heard swearing behind the counter and what we gather was the head chef kept shouting at the poor waiting staff which appeared to make them so nervous!

Whilst I understand the by the very nature of a chef's job it can be quite stressful, to scream and shout at 18 year old girls seems a little unfair.

The food was average and the service was poor and erratic.

The Restaurant has a fairly poor reputaion in the local area, as they seem to open and close when they like i.e lunch times!

I would not hurry back to this place again and have told many of my friends about my experience

We recently visited the new VK Lounge - Chingford - what a fantastic place!

That is the best and only way to describe this restaurant. We went here on Saturday night after it being recommended by a friend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was exquisite. Great choice on the menu complimented by a good wine and cocktail list. It also has a late licence so you can sit and have a drink in the bar afterwards.

Will definitely be going back here and highly recommend it.

We pop along to VK for Sunday Lunch quite regularly and love it. In fact my other half would probably go every Sunday if she could. We haven't been at any other time so can't comment on the evening menu.

The staff are always friendly, the open kitchen always inspires confidence and the freshly cooked yorkshire pudding is worth the price alone. The food is always cooked to perfection and has a freshness that not many other places in the area can boast.

We went to this restaurant for the first time last weekend and I was not disappointed!! Its fantastic!!

The staff are very friendly and let you enjoy your evening. There's no hurrying or bullying to make a quick decision, I've never been so relaxed at a restaurant. The decor is lovely and the food is exquisite.

I really can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. The best I've been too in a long time!!

The food was very good with a good selection to choose from and well priced.On sundays they do an excellent roast and as a bonus kids eat free. The sevrvice is excellent and i must say the staff are very friendly.Overall i wpuld reccomend this resturant to anyone.
