Having slagged this place off to the max but due to time constraints, I came back as a friend had something that seemed nice yesterday. Ordered the same as she had, chicken chilli rice with veg. Needed extra soy sauce but contained tender chicken pieces and slightly underdone cabbage as well as other veg.

Very generous portion and added steamed broad beans and grated carrot at home, while soaking up some excess chilli oil at home for dinner, which redeemed it well. 2 meals or 3 could be had but the excess of chilli oil was an issue. Staff member who served me was grumpy and charisma free, though I waited for no more than 10 mins in total for my takeaway order.

One lady who had asked how long her food was and was running out of lunchbreak, only for the surly, not busy female cashier to make her reorder, then simply saying 'you don't want it?' when all she wanted to know was when her food would be ready. They gave people tickets like in a supermarket deli but the staff still had no knowledge or decency to give the poor woman a straight answer.

Really revolting, sickening stuff. A stir fry chicken and veg with rice comprised tiny pieces of poorly cooked chicken thigh, a few scrappy bits of random reject cabbage, carrot and peas and and a good inch of oil at the bottom. Also managed to be completely tasteless. No soy sauce, mirin, fish sauce. Just greasy rubbish. Avoid like the plague. Abokado do better, fresher oriental lunch stuff and they're not all that!

Terrible food. Those foods are not Japanese at all. I could not finish my meal even though I was hungry. They came with a silly bento box tray. I do not want people to think that they are Japanese cuisine.

Extremely poor. Sushi uninspired to say the least, friends had katsu curry that reminded me of ILEA school dinners in the 80s when I tried it. Really drab and desperately inauthentic. Going to try Red Dog Saloon this week as given up on sushi in Hoxton!

I ordered the vegetable dumpling soup for lunch to takeaway and when i got back to my desk i realised there were NO DUMPLINGS IN IT!

So, yeah, they're rubbish. Don't go there.

Please don't waste your money to go there!

The food is terrible, not prepared by any Japanese!

I bought a chicken teriyaki Don and turned up only some boiled pieces of chicken with some light soy sauce over a bed of Japanese rice!! This is not the way to make chicken teriyaki!!

The service is poor, the cashers doesn't even want to look at you but more interested in having conversation with their own language.

This is not a Japanese restaurant, don't waste your money here unless you don't know Japanese food and don't care.
