I have been going here for years. It must be the best value restaurant in Clapham as you get masses of good food at low prices (consequently it is beloved by anyone on a budget). Don't expect anything fancy. It is simple, tasty food and if you like a varied meal this is definitely for you. It is also one of the few places in Clapham where it is quite enought to hold a conversation. The friendly owner and his daughter like to chat about Greece, food, languages or other subjects.

This is one of those places you probably wouldn't go, or even notice, if someone hadn't recommended it to you. Which is how we originally ended up there, but we've been back many times since, in big groups and small and the food is always consistently good and the service always consistently friendly. Everyone we've ever taken has loved it. The family who run the restaurant are very friendly and chatty with normally the dad or the daughter waiting on you and telling you about each of the huge range of dishes they serve for a set price of £9.50. The first time we went we thought we were finished after the first couple of rounds of food, but it turned out we hadn't even had the main course yet! Everything is homemade and fresh.
Most of the food is vegetarian with meat main courses (or vegetarian options) so is great for everyone. A really refreshing experience to go to a family run restaurant rather than another marketing-run chain. Just remember to take cash.

Very disappointing. We went with a large group and didnt feel we were treated very well at all.
The food wasnt a reason to complain but it was the way they treated us at the end of the meal which was most disappointing.
We were handed a bill for 19 main meals even though there was only eighteen people there and a lot of extra alcohol was added to our bill. The bill came to a round figure of £500 which is very suspicious and a lot of extras were added.
We had been a number of times and felt it would be a good choice but it seemed like they just charged us as much as they could get away with and neither me or my friends will be returning.

What a lovely little café. One price, no menu, just loads of food that the owner/chef cooks on the premises. They also only do two wines: one red; one white (£11). I get the feeling that this is what it might be like in little villages in Greece - you sit down and they simply bring food and wine.
The meal begins with fresh raw vegetables; followed by many little plates of tapas-like dishes (e.g. hummous, taramasalata, tzasiki etc. etc.), accompaned with loads of lovely bread; followed by a number of other meat courses. it's all topped off with beautiful homemade yoghurt topped with honey. And it's only £9!
We've eaten here many times and it's always consistently good. The owner and his wife are lovely, and you don't have to prompt him too much for him to tell you how each dish is made, and the complete history of greece! :-) Definitely nothing fancy, but a regular feature in our local dining diary! (warning, no credit cards - only cash & cheques)
