It used to be a good place. These days they try to feed you cheap staff, so they can reduce their cost. Be ready to eat a lot of chicken, unless you are Brazilian (exceptions are made)

went to Rodizio Rico with my girlfriend ( who is brazilian ), she commented on the authentic smell and feel of this restruant.

the food is good but not great, for the price they charge the 4 all you can eat bbq statment is alittle misleading, your made to feel like a fatty for "asking" for a few more slices while the waiters are at the table.

i would go again, maybe in a group as its not what you want of your going for a quiet dinner.

Hi,

This place is excellent fun. great food & and a unique experience. I am really suprised by some of the negative comments here.

We booked 15 people for a work's night out and they are a fussy lot but everyone enjoyed it. The service, quality & quantity of food was great. The salad bar is fab - an amazing selection of pastas, veg, rice & strange brazilian things!

The meat comes to your table thick and fast and is cooked to perfection. It is perfect for a group - maybe not so for a romantic coupley night.

Enjoy!

I've just dined at Rodizio Rico after many years with my wife and child.

Good family atmosphere for a Sunday and children under 5 eat for free.

However, £19 per person for the adult buffet comprising of the various meats brought to your table is seriously overpriced. Poor quality cuts far too much fat and not enough meat. Also it was far too salty which in turn makes you thirsty and you order more over priced drinks. (Orange juice £2.90, Fanta £2.50).

The salad bar was fresh and the offerings were of reasonable quality.

Deserts, again way overpriced at around £3.90 for the cheapest.

Service, though was good and the staff friendly even though it was rather busy.

Total price for this venture down to Westbourne Grove...a whopping £58.40 with £5.84 service charge. Grand total £64.24 !!!!

Overall, certainly not good value for money and I'll not be going again.

Visited the Islington restaurant. Salads were great, but was not overly impressed with the meat........much of it too rare for my liking and that of my guests . As for the cocktails......I ordered a Woo Woo between the sheets. Now anyone who knows about cocktails would know that a Woo Woo is vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry juice, (occasionally some bars add orange juice). However the title Woo Woo here, seems to have been given because the bar manager likes the sound of it! I was served a drink that was in a martini glass, and the colour of which was nothing like a Woo Woo. When I complained to the bar manager and asked him what was in it, he told me Brandy etc........I asked him why it was named a Woo Woo between the sheets? He said because it was a Woo Woo between the sheeets. He then insisited on showing me his cocktail book. He did show me the book and showed me the ingredients for a cocktail named 'Between the Sheets'. When I pointed out that the ingredients were for 'between the sheets' and explained what was in a Woo Woo he disagreed and argued with me. The experience put a dampner on my evening and I doubt I will return.

Me and a friend were walking down Westbourne Avenue and found the place and I thought why not give it a try.

As we didn't have a table booked we asked at the door if there was a table available for two, even though the restaurant was virtually empty it took about 15 minutes for the hostess to find us a table, and boy she was moody, never smiled, never made eye contact, a trully rude lady.

After a while she found us a table, once again her face looked like she was dealling with criminals.

I can't complaint about the service, the waiters were very good and we were well looked after, we ate a lot...........

After we aet we asked for the bill, the total was 53,00 pounds, and we decide to share it, we told the head waiter to make it 55,00 pounds, total of 27,50 each.

She paid by card and I paid cash, I gave 40,00 pounds to the head waiter, and he only gave me 2,50 pounds change, I thought they probably made a mistake with my change, but took the a bit of convincing to get the my 10,00 pounds change back.

The waiter got a really nice tip, but the hostess sucks.

They state in the menu that the price for unlimited Prime cut BBQ meats is £19.00. But that is not true. You will not be offered any good beef cuts until about fifteen minutes before you have to leave, as you're given a time limit of an hour and a half. Also, the best cut (picanha) is not offered until the minute you have to leave, literally. If you ask for the beef prime cuts before these times, you will be asked to pay £25 as that is considered to be "open food" by the restaurant. So the fact that they are stating "unlimited" meats in their menu is a misleading statement.

You will notice that the service from the "pasadores", the swordsmen carrying the meats from table to table, could be appalling if you ask for meat that they shouldn't be offering to your table yet. None of the "pasadores" seem to be able to deal with such inquiries in a respectul way, and easily ignored your calls for attention. In short, a dreadful experience.

I must say, though, that the buffett was very good, and the picanha cut beef, when offered, was very tasty, although not properly roasted, since it was almost raw. Table after table had to request that the picanha roast be cooked again. An honest mistake or management's dishonest strategy?

Even though I felt that there wasn't any value for money in the "unlimited" prime cut BBQ meats menu, as I think I was misled, I believe that the vegetarian buffett menu (£13) is a good value for money.

Finally, I would like to add that I loved the atmosphere and decor at the Islington restaurant.

Truly an awful restaurant.

Poor quality food, seriously over=priced and stricly for those who are so desperate for a 'taste' of brazil that even the worst experience will do.

Make your own mind up, but from my expereince and that of everyone else i talked to who went there, it's really a place to be avoided.

It's difficult to know where to start when talking about this restaurant.

I was told the quality was bad but could never imagine what I saw and tasted when I got there.

The service is bad, rude and takes ages for someone even to pay attention to you.

If you ask a typical brazilian drink, a caipirinha, you will see that the bartender has never drunk a good one before, even less done one!...

If you ask the normal rodizio, of course it comes in big quantities, it is supposed to be like that, but the quality is appaling. Dry, flavourless and badly cooked meat that sometimes is not even of the good quality it is supposed to be!

The beer, and baring in mind the brazilias like it really cold, comes as hot as in a british pub.

Even to pay you almost have to beg so someone can take the money from you.

Honestly, and I know quite a lot of brazilians restaurants and have been to very good ones, this is the worse I have been into.

So my opinion for who ever reads this is "Don't go, try other places, you will surely get better"!

Really no... dont go... you wait ages for the meat, then it comes and it is too salty.... the salads not much better than pizza hut, the staff are abrupt and the place cramped. If you choose to eat in one of the best cities in the world for restaurants - there is absolutely no reason to come here.

ps please someone open a good charruscaria, when they are good they are great....
