The food here is of a VERY average standard, sometimes below average. The numerous different types of meat are, on the whole, fatty, bland and appear to be quite cheap cuts of meat. They look great and to be fair the 'Baby Beef' was fantastic but everything else was bitterly disappointing (Chicken Hearts has novelty value and tasted OK). The buffet was very average, bland salads, cold soft chips, and numerous other things. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH 22.50.

Service was fine and the restaurant has an ok atmosphere but if you're going to an all you can eat meat place you expect great meat, unfortunately you wont find it here.

If you ignore this and go anyway prepare to be very disappointed....

My girlfriend is brasilian. this was my first experience of brasilian food. The food was good. The service was apalling. We asked to move tables, the staff gruffly refused. It spoilt the evening for me as i wanted it to be special, we had travelled over 100 miles to visit this restaurant. I have since been to Brasil 5 times , so it didnt ruin the relationship !

Please remember this is a taste of Brasil , not the real deal !

I also ate here in october 2008 and was disapointed with the choice and service compared to the O2 branch, at westbourne grove i found it ordinary, fortunately i didn't have the same experience as another reviewer, i did find it a little tight for space.

But having been to the one at the O2 a vast difference, space choice and service were better I took my friend from from NY (he is a big lad and he can eat) to the O2 the next evening as I was not happy with westbourne grove and in his words "you can throw a brick at the other place" the staff were great we stayed for ages talking about old times and we belly laughed a lot.

Same franchise different place. Go see and taste.

We went to the Upper Street branch of this restaurant for our team chriitmas lunch, first big mistake, the second was to expect anything like decent service.

Nobody explained how the restaurant worked, it took us 20 minutes to get a drink

and even then the waiter took our order grudgingly. We hit the buffet , but it took another 15 minutes for the guys to come over with the meat, which was, to say the least undercooked. I fully expected the beef to moo. At the end of the meal we asked for the bill, after waiting another 20 minutes I suggested to my collegues that we started putting our coats on and was sure that would prompt them to bring the bill, needless to say it worked like a charm and the bill was there within seconds, see they can move when they want to. The only problem was that we had been charged for 10 people rather than 8, so the bill had to be amended and £23 had been added as a gratuity (bloody cheek considering the service). I eat out quite a lot especially in the Upper Street area and have never experienced such poor service and lack of customer care as I did here. I most certainly won't be going back and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We had our Xmas party there, what a mistake that was ! Booked a table for 10 persons, had a table for 6 with a few extra chairs crammed at the end by the main entrance !

Nothing was explained to us what we had to do, so it was look and learn, basically grab a plate, hit the buffet, sit down and someone brings a large skewer of meat , and cuts and serves you. We only saw the previous reviews the day we were going and had second thoughts ! Luckily most of the party members were lashed up before they arrived, so it soften the quality of the food ! Out of all the meat served, the lamb was half decent, the rest............well.............. !

The drinks service was very slow and the party I was with like their drinks! We had to constantly keep asking for drinks and I noticed, as I was sober that the staff kept on adding already ordered drinks on to our bill which I stopped them from doing several times ! The quality of the alcohol was poor, very poor...Sambuca that didn't light, Long Island Tea which was basically just cola from a gun with cheap spirits................

I didn't stay for the final bill and left early, I will need to catch up with the other party members to see what it was !

All in all, poor service, miserable staff, poor drinks and they were trying to usher our group out asap but as we kept on ordering rounds, they liked that !!

Oh and the deserts............diabolical !!! Strawberry mousse that had the texture of frozen butter !!!

Good all round experience. Having a brazilian wife, i have been to many of this type in Brazil. This captures the atmosphere very well. The meats are well represented at your table and the salad bar is always fresh. Delivery of drinks is a little slow but well that's Brazil !

Me and my girlfriend been in this fantastic place, they're very busy on the weekend, the best time to enjoy it's during the week... The meat (all food) fantastic, lovely and tasty... We just didn't understand why they charge us for the service. But it's okay we recommend it, we're thinking to go again. Congratulations, Cassio & Ilaria

Was so excited taking a group of friends here last night after my first Churrascaria experience in Sao Paulo earlier this year. I’d told them enthusiastically about the mouth-watering meat, the fantastic salads bars and great service. Rodizio Rico is not only nothing like the original but a terrible restaurant in its own right.

1. Far too many tables and tacky décor - six of us on a tiny table and knocking elbows (literally) with customers on either side.

2. 15min from ordering drinks to getting them – served all men before women.

3. Restaurant ‘concept’ explained to us by one of many very heavily accented eastern European waitresses. All looked miserable - no passion about the food whatsoever and we couldn’t understand or hear her. I say this as the Brazillian equivalent is complete opposite – not only get explained concept by v enthusiastic staff but also info on how meat is cooked/where it’s from etc

4. Salad bar maybe biggest disappointment. Brown lettuce – terrible choice. Again Brazlian equivalent is 20ft long with huge array of tasty and beautifully displayed salads and meats….this was six steel trays with tired brown lettuce and blue cheese sauce from a tube.

5. Meat was very bad - too fatty and tasteless but worst thing was way it was served. Again miserable looking staff would cut meat and almost throw it at plate (and on my lap once). Instead of it being a celebration of great meat was like kebab shop at 2am.

Great concept but terribly executed and a huge disappointment.

This is by far one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Horrible service and food.

The table we're booked was pratically at the door entrance, with a horrible cold draft blowing everytime someone came to or left the restaurant. When asked why we could not sit at another table for 4, the answer was: the other tables are for 5 people (yeah, they managed to squeeze another chair at the table so that we could not sit there)..Guess what? Later on, 4 (and not 5!!!) people sat there.

I would have forgiven that if the food had been better than the service...But again, guess what??? Appalling food. The meat was like a chewing gum, and on top was badly seasoned and cooked. The "picanha" came once only, but only after I asked twice for it. The alcatra was well cooked, but as for the picanha, it came only once and we had to ask for more.

When we asked the waitress where the meat was from, her answer was: "Some are from Brazil, some from Argentina and some from England...But I don't have details exactly of what comes from where."

I had a non-Brazilian friend with me, that was looking forward so much to a nice Brazilian experience for the first time. What a disappointment...And how embarassing for me.

I did not expect to have a tipical 100% Brazilian churrasco, like we have in Brazil. I know it is probably difficult to get hold of some meat cuts or even maintain the quality of the imported ones (in case they really get some cuts from Brazil, which I honestly doubt by now), so I lowered my expectations. But what they provide at Rodizio Rico is a disgrace and from all the Brazilian restaurants I have been abroad Rodizio Rico is by far the worst of all!!!.
