I love this cafe and the food is generally very good.

However, I had tea there the other day and the waiter charged me £1.20 for an extra teabag in my teapot I was not a happy bunny.

Got in there on a Saturday and ordered tea. Waiter came back five minutes later telling us there was a minimum charge of 3.50 pounds each. Well, they've lost two customers for good.

I was looking for a place to have a nice meal with my parents that had just come to visit me. We went through and the feeeling just getting in was familiar and very restly. We ordered the specials of the day, remember in particular the Sweet Corn Soup and the Mushrooms Rissoto, they were lovely. Good servic, full of life and a lot of mothers with their childs. Fair prices, delicious cakes. Is a shame they are close during the evenings.

Walking along Portobello on a busy saturday, I was very thankful to find this cute little cafe tucked away from the hubbub. The courtyard was a nice lead-on into the cafe which in itself is warm, friendly and rather quaint. The staff are on the whole friendly and helpful, albeit the service a little slow. The food is simple with no fuss. The quiches here are wonderful as are the cakes. It is what it is, a no-nonsense cafe. Go in and have a look!
