2 Amici

I've just come back from a great dinner with my family at 2 Amici. It doesn't look particularly special from the outside but the food, attention to detail and service was excellent.

These days it's so difficult to find a decent restaurant with good staff and sensible prices but this was a very welcome exception.

We didn't have to wait around for anything, the staff were very friendly and amusing but still respectful and we were even given a free Limeoncello each at the end of a very satisfying meal.

The price is appropriate - especially considering the central location. I would not hesitate in recommending it and we'll be going back i'm sure!

I use this restaurant for business lunches and I have to say that to date it has never disappointed. The food is good and the service has always been of a good standard. I cannot comment on the wines (these are business lunches after all!) but I have glanced at the wine list and it seems reasonably priced. I have even asked for things that are off the menu and it's never been a problem.

Visiting London, staying in a hotel around the corner and wanted a nice place for a simple dinner on our last evening before returning to the States. Had walked by the location many times during the week and asked the hotel for a recommendation but the staff wasn't familiar with the establishment. We decided to try it anyway and were all (4 ladies of ages ranging from 40s to 80s) very pleased we did. The service was excellent, food was very good and reasonably priced, including a very nice house Chianti. We received an "extra" plate of sliced Parmagiana and olives when we asked and were even served a Lemoncello "on the house" at the end of our meal. Very, very nice experience overall!

We are regulars at Amici- never had a bad experience, it all adds up to what any reliable restaurant will provide, good food, good service, good value, no music . Plus the fact we can walk there. given the simplicity of the offer it excels in providing a good eating experience that is consistent and reliable, the team always seemed pleased to see you and chatty- well worth a visit

This is a first-rate Italian restaurant; with superb food and a great selection of (by London standards) reasonably priced wines. The atmosphere is very Italian and their attention to detail cannot be faulted. It is a delight always to eat at 2-Amici, especially when bringing friends for the first time - everyone is made to feel very welcome and special.

Have been to 2 Amici many times and become a big fan as it is a good solid Italian and 5 mins from my place. Can't really fault it at all - food, service and wine are all great. Have been there for lunch and dinner and never had a bad meal. Reasonably priced and they always give you the little extras that make all the difference.

Perfect for business or pleasure - even taken my children there a few times and they were really accommodating. The staff are always friendly and attentive.

Really pleased there is a good restaurant on this site again as used to go to it in the 90's when it was Simply Nico (when it really was owned by Mr Ladenis).

I am sorry to read that the previous person celebrating her birthday had such an awful time at this restaurant. I have been eating at 2 Amici since it opened on a regular basis and have always been very impressed by the quality of the service and the food. The atmosphere has always been warm and friendly and the owner has always gone out of his way to make us feel welcome. For these reasons we will definately be going back.

I was celebrating my birthday recently at 2 Amici and very much regretted having paid attention to the reviews on this website. We were greeted by arrogant waiter who insisted that we sit near the window despite the restaurant being completely empty at 8:30pm. The food arrived very slowly and was cold when it reached the table. The wine was of very poor quality and overpriced. There was lipstick on the glasses and the cutlery was far from clean. In all the experience was one I would never want to repeat. I can not believe that anyone working in this restaurant has ever been to Italy. My friend and I will never return.

I was most impressed by this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff delightful. Definately an excellent addition to the Westminster/Pimlico area. I will return again soon.
