So disappointed with this place, after much hype and failing to bag a table on 1st attempt, we were really looking forward to trying out their Sunday Lunch. Last Sunday we phoned ahead and were told the wait was about 40 mins... (no, they don't take reservations....)
We got there, and the wait was up to an hour for a table.. but there was nowhere to comfortably stand and have a drink.... what is the point of having a pub if there's nowhere to have a drink - it really is just a restaurant in an old pub at that point.
We ended up getting a table straight away, but weren't allowed to order for the next hour as the kitchen was backed up. Service was all over the place with one person saying one thing and someone else another. Eventually, we were "allowed" to order at 3.10pm and the food, though it was good, was entirely unseasoned. None whatsoever, on the beef or lamb, in the roasties or the other veg.... we couldn't believe it. They didn't have the red wine we wanted, they had run out of one of the fish options and then run out of the veg on the second fish option...
I won't be returning

I totally agree with the previous persons.
Very nice place. My friends and I found this restaurant on friday, had a lovely meal and went for Sunday Roast aswell.
Service great, good prices and the food is very well presented and cooked.
Highly recommended!!!!

I had my first meal at The Morgan Arms yesterday, which was fantastic!
By far the best Sunday Roast Dinner I’ve had in London
At £13:00 for a main course it may seem a lot, however the portions were excellent and the beef was cooked to perfection.

Having recently moved to the area, we dined here for the first time over the weekend. The separate dining area is ideal if you want to escape the buzziness of the pub for a quieter meal. I couldn't fault anything about this place - highly imaginative menu, quality ingredients, generous portion sizes and friendly, knowledgable staff. My oysters were the freshest I have had in ages and my boyfriends fish stew was just divine. I can't wait to go back.
