I went once in the evening.

Some meals very good (the crab risotto) and other rather strange (king prawns).

Service professional (a lot of waiters but perhaps somewhat desorgenized when too many clients, we waited a bit for our starters).

Rather expensive (>20£ the main course, 10£ the starters) and if I didn't like the atmosphere I would think twice before going again.

Not in love but I may come back.

My partner and I went to The Cinnamon Club on Saturday night - and although it was hard to find the rest of the evening most defiantly made up for getting slightly lost.

The service was infallible. The food here is the best indian food I have tasted in London. Having been to nearly all the top rated Indian restaurants in London - the food here was incomparable! I had the King Prawns as a Main as the sauce they were served with was just amazing. My partners root vegetable curry was equally fabulous.

I honestly do believe this was well worth the money and I would defiantly go back again.

I wouldn't recommend The Cinnamon Club to anybody. The service was so awful it was laughable. We were sat at our table at 9.30pm and it then took us half an hour to get the attention of a waiter. We ordered half a bottle of red wine and half a bottle of white. The red arrived and the waiter proceeded to spill rather a lot of it on the table. A slightly more competent waitress came over and offered to move us to a table without red wine all over the tablecloth. We then waited another 20 minutes before being told that there was only one half bottle of white wine priced at £37. Apparantly all the slightly more reasonable half bottles (priced at between £20 and £30) were not available. I declined and asked for a glass in order to share the red we had on the table. A glass never did arrive so I had to get up and find one myself.

I asked the waiter to talk me through the menu so I could choose a dish which wasn't too spicy. He wasn't able to do so (I assume because of his lack of knowledge of the menu rather than his lack of English). Finally the waitress from before came over to help. When we had ordered our food, it arrived very quickly (rather too quickly) - the starter then the main almost immediately.

Then began the hassle of trying to get the bill. Basically, we were in the restaurant for 1 1/2 hours of which the first half an hour was spent waiting to order, the second half an hour included us ordering and eating all our food!, and the third half an hour waiting for the bill.

The food was fine but given the prices (£26 for a main), so it should be. We asked for the 12.5% service charge to be removed as the service was truly the most shocking I have ever encountered.

Forget the Cinnamon Club and try Chutney Mary instead if you want decent Indian food with service to match.

A fantastic restaurant, with amazing ambience and delightful food. I have been on a number of occasions, and it just gets better each time. All the dishes are cooked to perfection in my opinion, and very well presented. The rice has a rich aroma, the king prawns are succulent, and the chocolate fondant dessert is out of this world and truly tantalises one's taste buds. Although the prices are fairly high (expect to pay at least £50 per person not including alcohol), I feel it reflects the quality. I would definetely recommend it to anyone and will be returning very soon!

My first visit, thanks to an early evening deal, was a positive one but I'd be reluctant to pay the full price for a meal here. It's hard to find anything to criticise in food, service or surroundings but I can't help thinking prices reflect all those Westminster expense accounts.

I have recently visited Cinnamon Club after several recommendations. As I am not very keen on Indian cuisine I was a bit hesitant at first.

With the recommendations from our waiter we decided to go for the tasting menu. That's when I have changed my mind about Indian Food. It got better and better as we tick the courses on the menu which was left on the table for us to see what we were on.

Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu as he answered every question that we asked. The atmosphere was very elegant, formal but not intimidating.

Overall we had a very good night and I would go back to Cinnamon Club and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good night out and willing to try experience with cleverly modernised Indian Cuisine.

Went on a Monday night....after an acceptable luke warm greeting we where taken to our table (with some confusion along the way).

Then things got better and better....

We went for the tasting menu thanks to the recomendation of the friendly chap who took our order...

The food was superb the only dissapointment was the (if I remember correctly) was the spinach cakes????

The service was slow at times but over all decent...

I will return.....

Many thanks

Appalling is the only word I can describe the food as in this resturant. Chef's idea of cooking a medium lamb is leaving the blood oozing out of it! Average service, brilliant decor - if that's what you are looking for! They are selling bland tasting food covered with a few Indian spices and calling it an Indian restaurant!

Two friends and I went for 'the tasting menu', on a Thursday night while visiting London, January '08. Previously, I had bought two of the Cinnamon club cook books and amazed at the most divine food it showed me how to produce. So when my friends asked me to visit London this restaurant was a must.

The food went way beyond my expectations and it was out of this world. Each course excited the palate, brought us in to the moment so much that it became like a meditation!. Words were few when each course was placed before us. I still dream of 'the Green Spiced Partridge breast with curried puree', 'Roast Saddle of Oisin red deer with pickling spices' and even 'the Mandarin and Chilli sorbet!'. It was the best food I have ever tasted and I have eaten in many top restaurants. My advise is to go for it and have the tasting menu. The chefs are really showing off their enormous talents.

One dissappointment with the evening was that the staff seemed stressed and unattentive. We had a booking for 9.30pm and an hour later most people had left the restaurant. Staff began clearing up around us when we were only half way through our dinner. Some were pushing laundry baskets past us and there was a sense of them just wanting to go home. On three occasions, I overheard some staff in twos expressing their problems whatever was going on. Clearly this is something customers do not need to hear. There was a general feeling of unease which was difficult not to feel.

Overall, the evening was a taste sensation and highly recommended. It would be a good idea for the restaurant to polish up the staff on dealings with customers then I would give it 10 out of 10!.

Thank you and I look forward to bringing my husband to your restaurant in March. Plus I can't wait for your next books to be published.

Had a great Christmas lunch there recently, very inventive and interesting Indian food with great choice. The staff was very freindly and created a perfect foil to an amazing setting in what used to be an old library.

A must visit place when in London!
