This is certainly one of London's premier restaurants. We had dinner for four people and the meal and service was outstanding. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny. The atmosphere is fantastic - one of the capital's few grand dining experiences to rival Paris.

I dined at Menu on Friday evening with my wife and a couple of friends. Our dinner from beginning to end was nothing short of fantastic. Angela Hartnett and her hard working team deserve a lot of praise and are very much worthy of the star they have gained so far. Excellent night with unforgetable food !!!

I cannot comment on some of the more negative reviews below, but my companions and I were bowled over by one of the best culinary experiences I have had in London in 8 years. From start to finish our lunch was a complete delight. The service was attentive but never fussy. The cooking was outstanding - the product of a subtle and thoughtful approach to a menu from which it was hard to pick just one course. One very minor gripe - the wine list is very expensive. Highly recommended, without reservation.

Having read some of the previous reviews I have to say that I am stunned. My wife and I dined at Menu recently and in my opinion the food and service was excellent.
I struggle to comprehend previous comments particularly with regard to decor. Pictures of the restaurant are available on a number of websites and can be viewed before booking!!
I would heartily recommend Menu to my friends.

Considering we were attending a 'Michelin' star restaurant, all six members of our party were really excited on what the evening would hold.
The table was booked for 9-30pm but we decided to have a drink in the American Bar before hand. We informed the 'Menu' staff that we had arrived and asked them to inform us when our table would be ready. By 9-50pm (now starving), no members of staff had bothered to fetch us so we decided to venture into the restaurant in the hope our table was ready. It was and we were shown to a wonderful table near the window in what is truly a classic hotel.
Some 5 minutes elapsed before being presnted a menu, likewise the wine list. All members of our party went for the taster menu. What a dissapointment! 'Michelin' inspectors need to get out more! If the Connaught desrves a 'Michelin' star then there should be far more 3 star restaurants accross the country!! What bland food with shody service! The hotel is wonderful, however Angela needs to get her 'Ramsay' cookbook out and get practising before the inspectors call round again. Not recommended!

Went there last night for a business dinner. I found the food very good, but still a bit disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant, particularly for the first course (I had the foie gras terrine, which was a bit too greasy, and my neighbour had the scallops, which were apparently too heavy as well). Very good main courses, and good desserts though, goo wine, nice entremets before/ between courses.
Atmosphere is a bit cold, and lights are hung too high. Nice bar with a piano player though.
Service was good, except for the first drinks that we in the end never got the opportunity to order.
It was all in all a nice dinner, but I wouldn't go back for any personal event.
