I've been to this restaurant numerous times and have been recommending it to all my friends as it's always been a great experience eating here. Good food, cheap price, unique experience eating with our hands and fantastic Ethiopian coffee at the end to finish off! BUT the last time I went, I was disappointed. I felt the food was bland (maybe they are not putting enough spices in..) and the service was terrible - we had empty beer bottles all over our table and dirty ashtray for most of the night which would have normally been taken away. It is a great shame and I hope they will go back to the usual high standard soon...

Great Little restaurant in the heart of North London. I have been recently and was greatly dissappointed to find that the food was not to the same standard as when the restaurant first opened. It now lack the true authenticity of Ethiopian food - in short it has had to become more pallatable to the European taste. Dishes are no longer as spicey as before and the dishes (sizes of and choices of) seem to have shrunk whilst the prices have gone up.
One thing this restaurant never lacks is the atmosphere.. allmost like being back in Addis. This doesn't do enough to make up for the dissapointment with the food.
