Went here with my family to try somewhere different and was very disappointed
Food was extremely average, but most of all service totally lacking. Arrived to be looked at by what I can only assume to be the manager, stood looking at me, as if I should have been getting him a table. Nothing improved through the meal, not offered further drinks, condiments, whether everything was OK, generally ignored all through the meal.
Food is ok, although steaks tend to come out over-done and the whole thing not a good experience, would not recommend to anyone

We went there on a Saturday for a quick lunch with our toddler.
It's a pretty and bright pub with nice interior and the stuff is friendly. The beer garden is not so great, nothing is growing in it.
The food is very awful though. They have a kids menu which consist of a few boring and unhealthy dishes. My boyfriend ordered a ploughman's with crusty bread which turned out to be a lame pitta and after we asked for the bread they brought something non-crusty and not tasty. The forgot to bring the 'English mustard' with the 'hand carved ham' and the chips were just really really disgusting.
It's a pity really, if they would put more effort in the food it would be nice to go there.

Hidden gem in Kew, a great place, great food, great service by a very friendly team that are genuinely pleased to serve you.
Sunday lunch after wandering Kew Gardens is a perfect way to spend the afternoon. The courtyard is great if the sun is shining.
