I hadn't been to that restaurant in almost 5 years. It looks much better and is quite slick in some respect. The food was quite good. The pholourie and the tamarind sauce was very tasty. The peppered shrimp was the only starter which was way below par. The cocktails were very affordable and enjoyed by all. The main courses were very tasty and quite good value for money. However, the quality of the chicken in the "chicken roti" was odd - it didn't taste like proper chicken. Otherwise, the food was great.

We'd been recommended this place both on value and quality of food. So we had high expectations. The previous reviewer was right about the decor (more diner than restaurant), but we found the atmosphere lively, and all but one waitress was very friendly. The clientele was split 50/50 between black/white families and groups of friends.
We had jerk chicken as a starter, which was wonderfully tender, and the skin had to be eaten. The goat curry was perfect, with no bones, and no chewiness (which has always put me off before). The food was well presented, and considering how busy it was on a Saturday, the service was fast enough. Can't wait until next time.
