Ly Bar and Restaurant

I went to Ly bar to celebrate my birthday the other week with 15 friends of mine, I have to say, they looked after us with care and attention. The lady who looked after us was just so professional, she knew how much we needed to order, especially when I over ordered the food and advised me on what was recommended. She made our evening so stress free and enjoyable, I would definetly recommend this place. It is so nice to come to a place and be looked after. The food was very good. The cocktails were really good! I had a lovely mojito. The best I have tasted! Thumbs up!

I would love to say, it is wonderful to have such a lovely restaurant in Balham. The service is excellent. The waitress is just so friendly. The food is wonderful! I tried the honey quail tonight (part of the specials promotion), it was so yummy. I would recommend this place to everyone!!

This restaurant was recommended by work col. Definately not disappointed.

As soon as we entered the doors, we were greeted by a lovely friendly waitress.

The atmosphere was relaxed. The food was great. We risked it with the seabass...Outstanding! Other dishes were great as well. We were served by a lovely waitress who made us feel quite at home which is lovely. We can actually have a conversation with them. Usually it's just " eat, pay,GO".

Overall, I was very impressed. Would definately re-visit Lybar again.

I went to Ly Bar last week and I am so surprised I havent even been there since moving in Balham 6 months ago. I love their food. The food is really nice and I would recommend to everyone. It is so tasty and fresh. The waitress is super friendly, she really made a bad day into a very enjoyable night.

I certainly would be back for more

I totally disagree with the last review. All the food is freshly prepared, nothing comes out of a packet.......been there a few times and have been satisfied everytime....

we tried the ly bar last week as paddy field was closed... very disappointed. the food seemed out of a packet the vegetables definitely weren't fresh and the spring rolls were out of a packet all dry and no filling.

unfortunately we won't be going back and wouldn't reccomend to anyone either.

Lovely food and very friendly service! Have eaten there twice now (both using a special offer) and had a lovely time. Will definately go back (although it's not cheap).

Nice decor but thats about it. Service very slow, food mediocre but very expensive, toilet doors don't close but the worst was being served a bottle of water (being charged £4.50) with the seal broken and half the writing rubbed off. I can only imagine they had washed the bottle and refilled with filtered water. Its a shame as was full of expectations on arrival.

We tried the set menu (3 courses for £15 + house wine) here yesterday evening and were very pleased. The happy hour cocktails were a good start and, as my husband is allergic to oranges, we asked if the duck was available with an alternative sauce. The chef made a slightly sweetened oyster sauce which complemented the duck very well.

Although we were the first to be seated at 7pm by the time we left there were several other tables filled with what seemed to be equally satisfied customers.
