Probably the worst meal I have had in years.

The children's hotdogs were overdone and the buns was hard enough to use as a weapon but we did not complain about this.

Both adults ordered a steak to be cooked medium. When the unfortunate pieces of meat arrived, they had been nuked. Some of the sides dishes were cold and the salad looked like it was crawling to the bin before the cook blocked its path and put it on my wife's plate. The manager (who looked as if he should be still at school) agreed to change these main courses and did not charge for them.

We then ordered three deserts. One arrived after 30 minutes. It was an ice-cream dish but the ice cream had melted. The waitress had noticed this but still decided to deliver it to our table and was blaming some computer problem for having done so. The whereabouts of the other two deserts was still a mystery to the semi conscious staff when we decided to forget about them, pay up and go home to cook dinner.

I was charged for everything other than the two steaks and feel that after the food (which was no better than I could have bought in a cheap fast food restaurant) and the dire standard of service received, I should not have been charged at all.

This was a special birthday celebration for my son who was 10 last Friday. I remember TGI's to be a good quality and friendly restaurant. I could not have been more mistaken.

Our experience was totally unacceptable.
